aquatic-weed-eradicator
Scott Aerator Aquatic Weed Eradicator

The Aquatic Weed Eradicator is a hand-operated cutting rake made for clearing submerged growth out of ponds and lakes. It is built for property owners who need to keep a swimming area, a run of shoreline or the water around a dock open and usable, and it does the job without power, fuel or chemical treatment.

A serrated cutting blade spans the full 28 inches of the head, so each stroke severs vegetation down near the bottom instead of trimming the tops where it will regrow in days. The head itself is reinforced, which is what keeps it from flexing out of true once it loads up with a heavy mass of cut weed. That load is the point at which lighter rakes start to bend, so the reinforcement matters more than it sounds.

Reach comes from an 11-foot two-piece handle in powder-coated aluminum with a rust-resistant finish, which suits a tool that spends its working life in the water. The two sections join on a snap pin, so the rake goes together in seconds by hand and breaks back down just as quickly for carrying to the water or storing between seasons.

For growth that sits further out than the standard handle will cover, a 66-inch powder-coated aluminum extension handle is offered as a separate option on the same page. It is selected at the time of ordering and is not part of the base tool.

Handle Reach Options

Standard: 11-foot, two-piece, powder-coated aluminum handle

Optional: 66-inch powder-coated aluminum extension handle, ordered separately

Both sections connect with the same snap-pin fitting, so the extension adds on without tools
