concentrated-water-clarifier
Scott Aerator Concentrated Water Clarifier

The Concentrated Water Clarifier is a flocculant for ponds and lakes that have gone cloudy from suspended material rather than from algae. It is formulated to improve water clarity by pulling the fine particles held in the water column together so they no longer stay suspended, which is the practical fix for water that looks murky or brown even when nothing is growing on the surface.

The treatment works by gathering fine organic and inorganic particles into larger clumps heavy enough to drop out of the water. Those clumps settle onto the pond bottom, where the organic portion breaks down over time. The particles it targets include decaying plant material, fish waste, grass clippings and leaves on the organic side, and clay particles and suspended sediment on the mineral side.

Application is flexible. The clarifier can be mixed with pond water and sprayed evenly over the surface, which gives the most even distribution, though the page notes that applying it directly is also effective. A pond carrying a heavy particle load may need a second application within 48 hours of the first.

One gallon treats 250,000 gallons of pond or lake water, and the product is sold in a single configuration. The page states the formula is safe for fish, aquatic plants, wildlife and surrounding vegetation when used according to label directions, so the treatment should be applied as the label specifies.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0708/1967/6351/files/water-clarifier-concentrated-feature.jpg?v=1793492819
