The ACOPOWER ProteusX 20A is a waterproof PWM charge controller for 12V/24V solar setups, supplied here with a solar panel connector and alligator clips so it can be wired directly to both the panel and the battery without extra adapters. It also includes an SAE connector for RVs with a pre-wired 2-pin sidewall socket.

It's rated for 20A of continuous charging (up to 360W at 12V or 720W at 24V) and runs a five-stage charging routine (Soft, Bulk, Absorption, Equalization, and Float) intended to fully return the battery to capacity and extend its service life. Protection circuits guard against reverse polarity, reverse current at night, over-temperature, and over-voltage conditions, and the controller is compatible with eight battery chemistries, including lithium-ion, LiFePO4, LTO, gel, AGM, flooded, crystal, and calcium batteries.

A 20A fuse is included with the wiring kit. As with any charge controller, connect the battery side first and the solar panel side second when installing.
