Product Description

The MotoTec Rex 110cc 4-Stroke Kids Gas ATV sits between MotoTec's beginner and full-size youth quads, built for riders aged 10 and up who are ready for a real engine but not yet for the 125cc machine. The 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke produces around 7 horsepower - 4.8 kW at 8000 rpm - through an automatic transmission, so the rider concentrates on throttle and steering rather than gears.

Control stays firmly with the supervising adult. The quad leaves the factory limited to 9 mph, with a parental control that unlocks a 14 mph maximum once the rider has earned it, and a remote kill switch lets an adult stop the engine from a distance. Electric start runs off a 12V/5Ah battery, the engine is EPA approved under the ATV Action Plan, and a self-adjusting chain drive means less routine tensioning than a standard chain setup.

The chassis is properly specified for trail use: front and rear suspension, a front drum brake paired with a rear disc, adjustable handlebars and 14.5x7-6 off-road tires on steel rims at all four corners. Seat height is 24 inches on a 33 inch wheelbase, the quad weighs 143 lbs and the rider weight limit is also 143 lbs. A rear rack measuring 11 x 26 x 2 inches carries up to 22 lbs, and a headlight plus LED trail light keep visibility up as the light fades. The 2.2 litre tank keeps refuelling stops infrequent.
