Product Description

MotoTec's 24v 250w mini bike is the classic backyard shape done with an electric drivetrain. A 250-watt permanent magnet motor turns the rear wheel through a 1:7.5 chain drive, giving a steady 10 mph without the fuel, pull-cord or exhaust of the gas mini bikes it is modeled on. There is nothing to prime and nothing to warm up: twist and ride.

This version carries a larger 24v/9ah sealed lead acid pack built from two 12v/9ah batteries, which stretches the time between charges, and it comes back to full in about 6 hours from empty. A half-twist throttle keeps power application measured for a less experienced rider, and a rear disc brake does the stopping.

Underneath, it is deliberately simple and rugged: a rigid steel frame with no suspension to service, 90/65-6.5 knobby tires front and rear, a 26-inch wheelbase and 4 inches of ground clearance for dirt tracks and grass. Seat height is a manageable 17 inches, the whole bike weighs 51 lbs, and it carries riders up to 150 lbs.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
