Product Description

The MotoTec Big Alien is a 50cc gas dirt bike aimed at young riders taking their first laps on a motorized machine. Its air-cooled, EPA approved two-stroke engine produces roughly twice the power of a four-stroke of the same size while remaining easy to live with: a pull starter and an updated carburetor get it running quickly, and the auto centrifugal transmission means the rider never touches a clutch or a shifter.

Suspension is what sets this model apart in the range. Telescopic forks up front and a rear mono shock soak up ruts and small jumps, and disc brakes at both ends give the rider real stopping authority rather than the single-brake setup common on entry-level bikes. The steel frame is built to carry a growing child, the 14 inch wheels wear proper outdoor rubber, and the padded single-rider seat sits 22 inches from the ground.

On a full 1 liter tank the Big Alien covers 10 or more miles and tops out at 25 mph, enough for backyard sessions, dirt lots and beginner trails in wet or dry conditions. The bike weighs 48 lbs dry, so an adult can lift it into a vehicle or pick it up after a tip-over without help, and the angle-adjustable handlebars let the cockpit be set up for the rider. MotoTec recommends it for ages 13 and up with a maximum rider weight of 130 lbs.
