AKEZ Electric Chopper Bike - Recreational Off-Road Use Only

The AKEZ Electric Chopper, sold by the manufacturer as the DITON H1, is the cruiser of the lineup. Its defining feature is the frame: a low, stretched chopper silhouette on a 20-inch aluminum alloy soft-tail with a 750mm wide handlebar, built for a laid-back riding position rather than the forward-leaning stance of a mountain or moped-style bike. It is a machine for long, unhurried miles on beach access roads, gravel paths, open trails and private land, with a look that borrows directly from classic American cruisers.

Power comes from an MXUS 52V 1500W hub motor rated to 2000W peak and 130 Nm of torque, run through a 40A DMHC controller. The torque figure is the number worth paying attention to on a cruiser: it produces the smooth, strong pull from a standstill that suits this riding style, and it carries a heavier rider or a climb without feeling strained. AKEZ rates top speed at 55 km/h, roughly 34 mph, which puts it beyond the limit of every US pedal-assist e-bike class, so it is sold here as an off-road recreational bike.

The battery is the largest in the range. A 52V 30Ah lithium pack built from EVE 21700 5000mAh cells gives AKEZ's quoted 60-70 km per charge, with a full recharge taking around eight hours. Suspension is handled by a full aluminum hydraulic inverted fork and a rear air shock, and the bike rolls on INNOVA 20 x 4.0-inch fat tires fitted to double-layer hollow snow rims, so the cruiser comfort holds up on sand, mud and packed snow as well as hardpack.

Component choices are consistent with the rest of the AKEZ performance bikes. SIMAERS hydraulic disc brakes stop both wheels, a Shimano TX50 7-speed freewheel and aluminum crankset provide the pedal gearing, and a NECO headset carries the front end. The cockpit runs a DMHC LCD display, and the electrical package includes an LED headlight, brake lights, turn signals, a horn and waterproof wiring throughout. The frame carries a triple-layer protective coating, and the unit is SGS certified.
