The AKEZ S1 is a 20-inch fat tire electric bike aimed at riders who spend their time on mountain trails, beach sand, forest tracks and packed snow rather than pavement. A 750W brushless rear hub motor drives the bike to a listed top speed of 28 mph and pulls grades of up to 30 degrees, while 20 x 4.0 inch tires spread the load across soft ground and soak up the vibration that narrower tires transmit straight to the rider.

The S1 is offered with one 48V 13Ah lithium-ion pack or with two, giving 26Ah total. On the single pack, AKEZ quotes 35 to 45 miles in pedal-assist mode and 32 or more miles under motor power alone, and the dual-battery configuration roughly doubles that figure. Either way the packs are removable, so they can come off the frame and charge indoors. A full charge takes four to five hours.

Suspension works at both ends: an aluminium alloy fork up front and a spring shock at the rear. The combination keeps both tires in contact with uneven ground, which matters more for traction than for comfort once the surface turns to rock and root. Braking is handled by mechanical disc brakes front and rear, with alloy levers that cut motor power the moment either one is squeezed.

Three modes cover how the bike is used. With the system off it pedals like a conventional bicycle through a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain. With power on, five levels of pedal assist layer motor torque over rider input, and the levels pair with the mechanical gears to hold a steady cadence across changing terrain. A half-twist throttle on the right bar provides motor-only propulsion when pedalling is not wanted. An M5 LCD display reports speed, gear, distance, battery level and assist stage, backlit for use in the dark.

The high carbon steel frame is rated to a 330 lb payload and the bike suits riders from roughly 5 ft 2 in to 6 ft 5 in. Finishing details include a circular LED headlight with a built-in electronic horn, a tail brake light that illuminates under braking, an oversized breathable saddle and alloy platform pedals. The bike is CE certified and arrives about 85 percent assembled.
