Product Description

The MotoTec Drifter is a three-wheeled machine designed around controlled sliding rather than straight-line speed. Its 500 watt brushless hub motor sits in the front wheel, so the rider steers and drives the same wheel while the unpowered rear end breaks loose. That front-drive layout makes it much easier to set a drift angle and hold it through a corner than a rear-driven trike, where a slide tends to run away from the rider.

Power comes from four 12v 12ah batteries wired together for 48 volts, good for a rated 22 mph and 10 to 20 miles between charges. The pack takes four to eight hours to refill, is rated for more than 300 charge cycles and comes with its charger. A hydraulic disc brake handles stopping at the front wheel.

The rear tires measure 10.4.5-5 and are wrapped in plastic drift disks that swap out easily once they wear down, so a heavy session does not mean replacing tires. The front wheel runs a 70/90-14 tire. Long foot rests give the rider a braced stance, the wide saddle folds down, the handlebars adjust, and the trike climbs grades up to 15 degrees. It suits riders aged 13 and up, to a maximum of 240 pounds.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
