Product Description

The MotoTec Electric Trike 48v 1200w is the heavy-duty member of MotoTec's three-wheel personal transporter family. Riders can operate it seated or standing, which is what makes this style of trike useful well beyond recreation - event staff, security patrols and warehouse floors all benefit from a machine that covers ground quickly and stops on a dime. The concept is close to a three-wheel Segway, built on far more conventional and far less expensive hardware.

Power comes from a 1200 watt servo motor paired with a differential gearbox rather than a chain or belt, so there is nothing to tension, lubricate or replace as the miles add up. Eight 12v 12ah batteries give a 48v 24ah pack, good for a rated 15 mph and over 20 miles between charges depending on rider weight. That same pack is what lets this model carry up to 400 lbs, well above the rest of the trike lineup.

The rolling chassis is sized to match the power. A 24 inch pneumatic front tire and two 12 inch pneumatic rear tires soak up rough pavement and gravel, 6 inches of ground clearance keeps the frame away from curbs and ruts, and hydraulic brakes at both ends handle a machine that weighs 216 lbs before a rider climbs aboard. Twist-grip throttle, keyed ignition, a battery meter, reverse and a rear carrying rack all come as standard equipment, and the wide saddle lifts off when you want to ride standing.

Warranty

MotoTec covers this unit with a 30-day parts-replacement warranty from the date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship. Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and photos of the issue to start a claim.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
