Product Description

The MotoTec Electric Trike 48v 900w Lithium is the most road-comfortable machine in MotoTec's three-wheel personal transporter family. It keeps the sit-or-stand versatility that makes these trikes useful at events, on security rounds and around warehouses, but adds front suspension, a backrest and an LCD display to make longer stints easier on the rider.

Rather than a single front hub motor, this model drives both rear wheels: two 450 watt brushless hub units working together for 900 watts total, which spreads traction across the back axle and helps on loose surfaces. A 48v 15.6ah lithium-ion pack supplies them, covering 15 to 25 miles per charge with a 5 to 10 hour refill and over 300 cycles of service. Three selectable speed settings - 9, 16 and 24 mph - let the rider dial the machine down for tight indoor spaces or open it up outdoors.

The chassis reflects that comfort focus. Front suspension and a 16 inch pneumatic front tire (3.50-10) absorb surface changes, 12 inch pneumatic rears (90/65-8) sit on a 4 inch ground clearance, and a front hydraulic disc brake handles stopping. The removable saddle adjusts from 24 to 28 inches and has a backrest, the LCD screen reports speed and charge, and front and rear LED lighting plus a carrying basket are fitted as standard. Climbing ability is rated at 15 degrees.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
