Product Description

The MotoTec Folding Mobility Electric Trike 48v 1000w Dual Motor Lithium is a mobility scooter rather than a stand-up transporter, built around a seated riding position with arm rests, a backrest and a tight three-wheel turning circle. The frame is aluminum, so the whole machine comes in at 100 lbs, and it folds down to 20 x 27 x 34 inches for transport in a car or storage in a closet.

Two 500 watt brushless hub motors are built into the rear wheels for 1000 watts of combined output, which is what allows this model to pull up inclines that stall single-motor scooters. A 48v 15.6ah lithium-ion pack feeds them, giving 15 to 25 miles per charge and recharging in 5 to 8 hours - and weighing considerably less than the lead-acid packs used on comparable machines.

Three forward speeds of 5.5, 10 and 17 mph plus a 2 mph reverse cover most situations, and a separate slow store mode caps both directions at 2 mph for crowded indoor spaces. Dual rear disc brakes include a parking brake, the handlebar adjusts up and down, and front and rear baskets carry the load. Large 11 inch pneumatic rear tires and an 11.5 inch front tire smooth the ride, while headlight, rear light and cornering lights keep the scooter visible. Maximum rider weight is 300 lbs.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
