Product Description

The MotoTec Folding Mobility Electric Trike 48v 700w Dual Motor Lithium is the compact, easy-to-lift member of MotoTec's folding mobility scooter pair. At 62 lbs with the battery fitted it is light enough for one person to load into a trunk, and it collapses from 42 x 22 x 33 inches down to 17 x 22 x 33 inches. The aluminum frame and tight three-wheel geometry make it manoeuvrable in narrow aisles and doorways.

Two 350 watt brushless hub motors are set into the rear wheels for 700 watts combined, giving enough torque to climb ramps and inclines that trouble single-motor scooters. A 48v 10ah lithium-ion pack runs them, covering 10 to 20 miles per charge with a 4 to 8 hour recharge and shedding a good deal of weight compared with lead-acid alternatives.

Three forward speeds of 5, 10 and 17 mph come with matching reverse settings of 2, 3 and 6 mph, plus a slow store mode limited to 1.5 mph forward and 1 mph back for crowded interiors. Dual rear drum brakes include a parking brake, the handlebar adjusts up and down, and front and rear baskets take care of cargo. Ten inch pneumatic tires and a padded seat with backrest handle the ride quality, and the scooter carries riders up to 286 lbs.

Every major electrical component is sealed to a published IP rating - the battery at IPX7 and the wiring at IP67 among them - so the scooter tolerates damp conditions rather than needing to be kept strictly dry.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
