The Heybike Ranger 3.0 Pro is the long-distance machine in Heybike's fat-tire line-up, built around a 720Wh battery that delivers up to 90 miles of range. That is the headline number, and the rest of the bike is specified to make those miles comfortable. A hydraulic fork with 65mm of travel handles the front, while the rear runs an adjustable air shock that can be pressurised up to 174 PSI, letting riders soften the back end for a cushioned cruise or firm it up for heavier loads and rougher ground. Running 20 x 4-inch Kenda fat tires on a hydroformed 6061 aluminium frame, it is set up for long sessions rather than short bursts.

A 750W rear hub motor supplies sustained power, peaking at 1400W with 80 N·m of torque, and output is governed by a torque sensor that reads pedal pressure directly for smooth, proportional assistance. The bike leaves the factory configured as a Class 2 e-bike with a working throttle and a 20 mph cut-off. Riders can switch it to Class 3 through the display or the Heybike app, which disables the throttle and unlocks a 28 mph assisted top speed, or to Class 1 by disabling the throttle while keeping the 20 mph limit. Gearing comes from a Shimano Altus 8-speed derailleur.

Braking is one of the Pro's distinguishing details: 2.3mm thickened hydraulic disc rotors give more thermal mass and more consistent bite than the thinner rotors typically fitted at this weight, which matters on a 75 lb bike carrying up to 440 lbs of rider and cargo. The frame still folds in about ten seconds down to 41.7 x 20.5 x 32.7 inches, and fenders, a rear rack rated to 100 lbs, a horn-equipped headlight and a taillight with brake and turn signals are all included.

Day-to-day the bike is controlled through a TFT colour display that stays readable in direct sun, with NFC tap-to-start, PIN entry or the Heybike app as unlock options and auto-lock when the rider steps away. The battery and electrical system carry UL 2849 certification with TÜV validation, and the bike is rated IP65 against rain and dust.

What is the range on a full charge?
The 720wh battery is rated for up to 90 miles. real-world distance depends on rider weight, terrain, assist level, speed and weather.
Can i change the ranger 3.0 pro between e-bike classes?
Yes. it arrives set up as class 2, with the throttle enabled and a 20 mph limit. disabling the throttle and unlocking the speed cap to 28 mph through the display or the heybike app makes it class 3; disabling the throttle but leaving the cap at 20 mph makes it class 1.
What does an adjustable air shock actually do?
It lets you change how stiff the rear suspension is by altering the air pressure inside the shock. less pressure gives a softer, more cushioned ride; more pressure firms it up for rough ground or heavier loads.
Is the ranger 3.0 pro ul certified?
Yes. the bike is tüv certified to ul safety standards and the battery system is covered by ul 2849, which addresses safe charging and safe electrical operation.
How much can it carry?
Total capacity is 440 lbs including the rider and any cargo, and the rear rack is rated to carry up to 100 lbs on its own.
Does it come with fenders and a rear rack?
Yes. front and rear fenders and a rear rack are fitted as standard.
