The General Rear Basket is the catch-all cargo box that sits on top of a rear rack, and it is the one Himiway basket that is not tied to a single model. Fitment works through the clamps instead: the package includes two sets of aluminum plates in different lengths, and you pick the pair that matches your bike's rack. The only hard requirement is that your e-bike already has a rear rack fitted — the basket has nothing to mount to without one, so check your rack before ordering.

The basket itself is high-quality aluminum alloy, so it is light enough not to eat into the rack's payload and will not rust when it is left on through wet weather. Two sizes are offered: a Large at 21 x 15.6 x 4 inches and a Medium at 15.7 x 12 x 4 inches. Both go on and come off quickly, which suits riders who want the basket for the weekly shop and the bare rack the rest of the time.

One fitting note worth knowing before you start: if your rear rack has a wooden board on the deck, that board needs to come out first so the basket's plates can clamp directly to the rack.

Wear items such as tires, inner tubes, brake pads and brake rotors are consumables and are not covered beyond transit damage. Damage from crashes, incorrect fitting, modification or use outside the part's rated limits is also excluded.
