The brake rotor is the steel disc the caliper clamps onto to slow the bike, and like pads it is a wear part. This listing covers direct equivalents to the rotors Himiway fits at the factory, in 160mm, 180mm and 203mm sizes depending on the model and on whether you need the front or the rear disc. Options are listed for the Cruiser (D3), Zebra, D5, D5 Pro, D5 2.0, D7 and D7 Pro, Cobra and Cobra Pro, A3, A7 and A7 Pro, B3, C1, C3, C5, Escape, Big Dog, Rhino and both Rambler drivetrains.

A rotor that has been scored, heat-warped or worn thin stops pulling evenly, and you feel it as pulsing at the lever, weaker stopping power or noise under braking. An assisted bike carries more speed and mass into the brakes than a conventional bicycle, so keeping the discs in good condition has a direct effect on stopping distances. Front and rear are sold as separate options, so order both if you are refreshing the whole system, and always use the size and pattern specified for your model since diameter and mounting both have to match.

Compatibility

  • 160mm: A3 and B3 (front and rear), C1 (rear)
  • 180mm: Cruiser / D3 (and ST), Zebra / D5 (and ST), D5 Pro, D5 2.0 / D5 2.0 ST, D5 2.0 20", A7 Regular, Cobra, Cobra Pro, C3, C5, Escape, Big Dog, Rhino, Rambler (hub motor and mid-drive), D7 rear, D7 Pro rear
  • 203mm: D5 2.0 / D5 2.0 ST / D5 2.0 20" front, D7 front, D7 Pro front
  • A7 Large and A7 Pro: Use the SM-RT26 rotor option, front and rear
  • Position: Front and rear are listed as separate options
  • Options available: 31 model and position combinations

  • Direct equivalents to the rotors fitted to each Himiway model at the factory
  • 160mm, 180mm and 203mm sizes so the disc matches the caliper and mount
  • Separate front and rear options, so you can replace one end or both
  • Restores even, quiet braking and consistent feel at the lever
  • Replaces discs that have warped, scored or worn past their limit
  • Thirty-one model and position combinations across the range

This part is covered against defects in materials and workmanship on arrival. Himiway does not publish a separate warranty term for replacement parts bought on their own, so contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and photos if something arrives faulty or fails early, and we will confirm coverage and handle the claim.

Wear items such as tires, inner tubes, brake pads and brake rotors are consumables and are not covered beyond transit damage. Damage from crashes, incorrect fitting, modification or use outside the part's rated limits is also excluded.

What size rotor does my bike use?
It depends on the model and on whether it is the front or rear disc. check the option listed for your model and confirm it against the rotor currently on the bike before ordering.
Does one option cover both wheels?
No. front and rear rotors are listed separately, so order both if you are replacing the full set.
Are brake pads included?
This listing covers the rotor. pads and other brake hardware are separate items.
Can i fit a rotor myself?
It bolts or threads onto the hub, but the fasteners need to be tightened correctly and the caliper realigned afterwards. if you are not confident doing that, have a bike shop fit it.
When should a rotor be replaced?
If it is visibly warped or scored, if braking pulses at the lever, if stopping power has dropped off, or if the disc has worn below the minimum thickness.
