The Himiway C1 is a kids' electric bike built around the idea that a child's first powered bike should grow with them rather than be replaced every year. It runs three speed settings that a parent selects - roughly 7 mph for a beginner, then 13 mph and 15 mph as skills and confidence build - so the same bike works for a cautious first-timer and, a couple of years later, for a child riding alongside the family. Himiway lists it for ages 4 to 12 and riders between 3'3" and 4'9", with an adjustable saddle and handlebar to cover that span.

The frame is 6061 aluminum and the whole bike weighs 32 lb with the battery, which is light enough that a child can pick it up off the ground and a parent can lift it into a car without a struggle. It rolls on 16 x 3.0 Innova tires - wide and low-pressure, so they grip on gravel driveways, grass and sidewalk cracks rather than skating over them - and a 36V 350W geared hub motor provides the assistance, fed by a 36V 10Ah battery that Himiway rates at 40 to 50 miles.

Control and safety sit with the adult. The C1 comes with a parental remote that limits the top speed or cuts the motor outright from a distance, the thumb throttle is deliberately simple to operate, and the brake lever cuts motor power as soon as it is pulled. Braking is a Nutt hydraulic disc at the rear wheel on a 160mm rotor - a hydraulic system on a kids' bike means a child's hand strength is enough to stop confidently.

The C1 is a street-legal pedal e-bike with a throttle, intended for sidewalks, bike paths, parks and quiet neighbourhood streets under adult supervision. Children should always ride with a correctly fitted helmet, and a parent should set the speed mode to match the rider's actual skill rather than their enthusiasm. Maximum load is 165 lb.

Parent Checklist Before the First Ride

  • Set the speed mode to the lowest setting until your child is confident starting, stopping and turning
  • Fit a correctly sized helmet; gloves and knee pads are worth adding for early rides
  • Adjust the saddle so the rider can put both feet flat on the ground at a stop
  • Keep the parental remote with you and test the motor cutoff before letting them ride
  • Pick an open, traffic-free area for the first few sessions
  • Supervise every ride - this is a powered bike, not a pedal bike

  • Three parent-selected speed modes - about 7, 13 and 15 mph - so the bike grows with the rider
  • Parental remote limits speed or cuts the motor instantly from a distance
  • Adjustable saddle and handlebar cover a 3'3" to 4'9" rider range, roughly ages 4 to 12
  • Light 32 lb aluminum frame a child can handle and a parent can lift
  • 16 x 3.0 wide tires stay planted on gravel, grass and sidewalk cracks
  • Nutt hydraulic rear disc brake needs little hand strength to stop confidently
  • Brake lever cuts motor power the moment it is pulled
  • 36V 10Ah battery rated at 40-50 miles, so a day of riding will not run it flat

Himiway covers this e-bike with a 2-year all-inclusive manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, running from the date of delivery. The frame carries a 2-year replacement warranty, and the warranty is registered to the original purchaser.

Wear-and-tear items are handled differently: tires, inner tubes, brake pads and brake rotors are replaced free only for transit damage reported within 14 days of delivery, and carry no further defect coverage. Damage from crashes, modification, improper assembly or riding beyond the bike's rated limits is not covered.

Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and photos of the issue to start a claim and we will handle it from there.

What age and height is the c1 for?
Himiway lists ages 4 to 12 and riders from 3'3" to 4'9". the saddle and handlebar adjust across that range, so one bike usually covers several years. maximum load is 165 lb.
How fast does it go, and can i limit it?
Three modes give roughly 7, 13 and 15 mph, with 15 mph the maximum. a parent selects the mode, and the supplied remote can also cut the motor entirely from a distance - useful while a child is still learning.
Does it need adult supervision?
Yes. the c1 is a powered bike and should be ridden under adult supervision, with a correctly fitted helmet, in a traffic-free area until the rider is confident starting, stopping and steering. start in the lowest speed mode regardless of how keen they are.
What brakes does it have?
A nutt hydraulic disc brake on the rear wheel with a 160mm rotor. hydraulic actuation means a small hand can generate real stopping force. pulling the lever also cuts power to the motor.
How long does the battery last?
Himiway rates the 36v 10ah battery at 40 to 50 miles, which in practice means a child will tire out long before the battery does. charge it with the supplied 2.0a smart charger and store it indoors between rides.
Does it have a throttle?
Yes, a simple thumb throttle, alongside pedalling. it operates as a street-legal class 2 pedal e-bike. check your local rules on where under-16s may ride powered bicycles before heading out.
