The freewheel or cassette is the stack of sprockets on the rear wheel that the chain climbs through as you shift. Himiway specifies a different cluster for almost every bike in the range, from a single-speed 16T on the C5 Sport up to a 10-speed 11-48T on the Cobra Pro and D7 Pro, so this listing is sorted by model, gear count and tooth range rather than being one universal part.

The sprockets are machined from hardened metal with a corrosion-resistant finish and are built to tolerate the heat and repeated shifts of assisted riding without rounding off. Teeth wear in step with the chain, which is why a high-mileage cluster often skips under power even after a new chain goes on, and why the two are usually replaced together. Fitting needs the removal tool that matches the type on your bike, since a screw-on freewheel and a splined cassette come off in different ways.

Compatibility

  • 7-speed, 14-28T: Cruiser / D3 (and ST), Zebra / D5 (and ST), Cobra, Big Dog, Escape, C3, C5 Ultra, A3, B3
  • 8-speed, 13-32T: D5 2.0 / D5 2.0 ST, A7
  • 8-speed, 11-42T: D5 2.0 / D5 2.0 ST
  • 8-speed, 11-34T: D7
  • 9-speed, 11-36T: D5 Pro / D5 Pro ST, A7 Pro, Rambler (mid-drive)

  • 10-speed, 11-48T: Cobra Pro, D7 Pro
  • Single speed, 16T: C5 Sport

Construction

  • Material: Hardened metal with corrosion-resistant finish
  • Options available: 18 model and gearing combinations

  • Speed-matched clusters in 7, 8, 9 and 10-speed, plus a single-speed 16T option
  • Gear ranges from 14-28T up to a wide 11-48T depending on model
  • Hardened metal resists corrosion and tolerates the heat of hard riding
  • Restores clean engagement and stops the chain skipping under power
  • Direct replacement for the cluster each listed model left the factory with
  • Extends drivetrain life when replaced alongside a worn chain

This part is covered against defects in materials and workmanship on arrival. Himiway does not publish a separate warranty term for replacement parts bought on their own, so contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and photos if something arrives faulty or fails early, and we will confirm coverage and handle the claim.

Wear items such as tires, inner tubes, brake pads and brake rotors are consumables and are not covered beyond transit damage. Damage from crashes, incorrect fitting, modification or use outside the part's rated limits is also excluded.

How do i work out which one to order?
Match your model first, then confirm the gear count by counting the sprockets on the rear wheel. the option names list both, for example 9 speed 11-36t for the d5 pro.
Should i replace the chain at the same time?
Usually yes. sprockets and chain wear together, so a new chain on a worn cluster will often skip under power.
Is this a freewheel or a cassette?
It depends on the model, and the two use different removal tools. check which type your bike has before ordering tools or booking a fitting.
Why does the d5 2.0 have two 8-speed options?
It is listed with a 13-32t and an 11-42t cluster. match the range currently fitted to your bike unless you are deliberately changing the gearing.
What tools are needed?
A freewheel remover or cassette lockring tool to suit your type, plus a chain whip for cassettes. a bike shop can do the change in minutes if you do not have them.
