This set swaps a thumb throttle for a half twist-grip throttle, so power is applied by rolling the grip rather than pressing a lever with the thumb. For riders who find the thumb action tiring on longer rides, or who simply prefer the familiar motorcycle-style motion, it is a straightforward way to change how the bike is controlled. Variants cover the D5 Torque and D5 Torque ST, D7 and Cobra, D7 Pro and Cobra Pro, A7, D5 2.0 and D5 2.0 20-inch, C3, C5, and a variant for the D3, Zebra Cadence, Escape Pro and Big Dog.

The kit comes complete rather than as a bare throttle: one twist-grip throttle plus a pair of handlebar grips, one long and one short, so both sides of the bar end up matched after the change. The throttle body is moulded in PVC with PC/ABS and measures 155 x 45 x 48.5 mm. One point to check before ordering: if your bike is a D3, Zebra or D5 Cadence, Escape or Big Dog that already left the factory with a twist-grip throttle, this set is the aftermarket replacement part for it rather than a conversion.

What's in the Box

  • Twist-grip throttle x 1
  • Handlebar grips x 1 pair (one long, one short)

Compatibility

  • D5 platform: D5 Torque, D5 Torque ST; separate variant covering Zebra Cadence

  • D7 platform: D7 and Cobra share one variant; D7 Pro and Cobra Pro take another
  • C series: C3, C5
  • Factory twist-grip models: D3, Zebra Cadence, Escape Pro, Big Dog - this set serves as the replacement twist throttle

  • Doubles as the replacement twist throttle on models that came with one from the factory

This part is covered against defects in materials and workmanship on arrival. Himiway does not publish a separate warranty term for replacement parts bought on their own, so contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and photos if something arrives faulty or fails early, and we will confirm coverage and handle the claim.

Wear items such as tires, inner tubes, brake pads and brake rotors are consumables and are not covered beyond transit damage. Damage from crashes, incorrect fitting, modification or use outside the part's rated limits is also excluded.

What does this set include?
One twist-grip throttle and one pair of handlebar grips, one long and one short.
Which models does it fit?
Variants cover the d5 torque and d5 torque st, d7 and cobra, d7 pro and cobra pro, a7, d5 2.0 and d5 2.0 20-inch, c3 and c5, plus a variant for the d3, zebra cadence, escape pro and big dog. choose the variant that names your model.
My bike already has a twist throttle - is this still for me?
Yes. if your d3, zebra or d5 cadence, escape or big dog came with a twist-grip throttle from the factory, this set is the aftermarket replacement for it rather than a conversion kit.
What is it made of?
The throttle is moulded in pvc with pc/abs and measures 155 x 45 x 48.5 mm.
Why are the two grips different lengths?
One side of the bar carries the throttle assembly and the other does not, so the pair is sized long and short to finish both ends of the handlebar neatly.
Do i need tools to fit it?
The grips and throttle slide onto the handlebar and the throttle plugs into the bike's loom, so basic hand tools are usually enough. if you are not comfortable disconnecting and reconnecting the throttle wiring, have a bike mechanic do it.
