Product Description

The MotoTec Trailcross revives the classic mini bike format with modern hardware underneath. Its 200cc overhead-valve four-stroke produces 6.5 horsepower and runs on straight gasoline, so there is no fuel and oil to mix the way a two-stroke demands. An easy pull starter gets it going and an automatic centrifugal clutch handles engagement, meaning the rider only has to work the twist throttle and the brake.

The frame is heavy-gauge steel and the fenders are a no-dent material, a combination built to survive being dropped, loaded into a truck and ridden hard over rough ground. Front suspension takes the edge off ruts and washboard, a rear drum brake slows things down, and 19x7-8 tires at both ends put a wide contact patch on loose dirt. Ground clearance is 7 inches and the large padded seat plus fore-and-aft adjustable handlebars let adult riders find a comfortable position.

Fed by a 1 gallon tank of 90+ octane fuel, the air-cooled engine makes 11 Nm of torque and pushes the Trailcross to a top speed of 40 mph, which puts it firmly in adult territory rather than the kids' category. The engine is CARB approved for California. At 143 lbs it is substantial enough to feel planted at speed while still being manageable to load, and it supports riders up to 200 lbs.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
