MotoTec Gas Pocket Bike GT 49cc 2-stroke - Recreational Off-Road Use Only

The MotoTec Gas Pocket Bike GT is a scaled-down road-style motorcycle built for driveway laps, empty parking lots and packed dirt trails. A 49cc air-cooled two-stroke engine sits behind the rider, spinning up through a centrifugal clutch and chain drive, so there are no gears to shift: twist the grip and the bike pulls away, back off and it coasts. Starting is done by hand with a pull cord rather than a key or a button.

Despite the small footprint of 39 inches long and 23 inches tall, the GT is built around a rigid steel frame and rolls on 11-inch pneumatic street tires sized 90/65-6.5. Those air-filled tires soak up seams and gravel far better than the hard plastic wheels found on toy-grade machines. Braking is handled by a disc at each end, giving the rider independent front and rear stopping power instead of a single coaster-style brake.

An 18-inch seat height and a 170 lb rider limit put the GT within reach of larger kids from about age 13 as well as smaller adults, and the padded single seat plus angle-adjustable handlebars let a rider dial in a comfortable position. The 1.2-litre tank runs a 32:1 mix of unleaded fuel and two-stroke oil and covers roughly 20 miles before a refill, which is a long afternoon of short laps.

This is recreational off-road equipment, not a street machine. Helmets and protective gear should be worn on every ride, and riding should be kept to private property or areas where off-highway machines are permitted.
