Product Description

The MotoTec Raven sits at the heavy end of the seated electric scooter range. Its brushless 2500 watt rear hub motor is fed by an unusually large 60 volt 30ah lithium-ion pack, producing 95 N/m of torque and a 28 mph top speed while still returning 35 to 50 miles of riding between charges. A key ignition arms the system and a variable twist throttle meters the power out.

The rolling chassis is built to match that output. A high-tensile steel frame carries suspension at both ends, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, and staggered motorcycle-style rubber, with a wide 215/40-12 tire up front and a 110/70-17 at the rear. The 61 inch wheelbase keeps the scooter stable at speed, and it will climb grades up to 18 degrees.

Equipment reflects the size of the machine: LED lighting front and rear, a speedometer, mirrors and a horn all come fitted. The Raven supports riders up to 300 pounds and is recommended for ages 16 and up. At 160 pounds it is a substantial scooter, and MotoTec states outright that it is not street legal for DMV registration. A full charge takes six to ten hours.
