Product Description

The MotoTec Thor runs a pair of 1200 watt hub motors, one in each wheel, for 2400 watts total at 60 volts. Splitting drive across both ends gives the scooter traction on loose and broken surfaces that a single-motor scooter cannot match, and it takes the Thor to a 40 mph top speed. A 60v 18ah lithium-ion pack supplies the current, good for roughly 10 to 30 miles depending on weight and which speed mode is selected.

The alloy frame folds for storage and carries dual shocks at the front and rear, a combination that keeps the 10-inch wheels tracking over ruts and pavement joints. The deck measures 10 inches across and 24 inches long, giving a stable stance, and disc brakes at both ends handle stopping. A trigger lever operates the throttle rather than a twist grip.

Rider-facing equipment is unusually complete for a folding scooter. The LCD panel carries a speedometer and odometer, offers nine selectable speed settings, includes cruise control for longer straight runs and has a USB charging socket for a phone. A high-definition spotlight handles lighting, a seat is included, and the scooter supports riders up to 310 pounds from age 13 upward. At 73 pounds it is comparatively light for its output.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
