The Scott Aerator Atriarch Fountain for small residential ponds is a half-horsepower floating display fountain sized for backyard ponds and smaller water features. Its pattern comes from a nine-nozzle brass head: one solid brass jet at the center ringed by eight smaller brass nozzles, which together throw a layered spray roughly 20 feet by 35 feet across the surface. The same unit is used in residential settings and in light commercial installations where a formal centerpiece is wanted.

Power comes from a half-horsepower oil-free submersible motor in a stainless-steel housing, turning at 3,450 rpm and moving 45 gallons per minute. Because the motor carries no oil, there is nothing to drain or top off, and no separate control box has to be mounted on shore or wired in. The motor is offered in 115-volt and 230-volt single-phase form at 60 Hz, and three-phase and 50 Hz builds are available for installations that need them.

Siting the fountain takes at least 36 inches of water depth so the intake stays clear of the bottom. The unit is held in position by two 25-pound weights or concrete blocks tied off with two nylon ropes; neither the weights nor the rope are supplied, so plan for them before installation day. Electrically, the fountain must be fed through a GFCI, and a 115-volt motor should sit no more than 100 feet from the main breaker. Longer runs than that call for the 230-volt version instead.

The motor is rated for fresh water and salt water alike and is built for continuous around-the-clock running, so the fountain can stay in service through the season rather than being cycled on and off. Beyond the visual display, the constant movement helps circulate the pond and spread oxygen through the upper water column. An LED light set can be added at the time of purchase or fitted later if the pond will be viewed after dark. Scott Aerator builds these units in Holland, Michigan.

How deep does my pond need to be?
At least 36 inches. the fountain needs that much water above the bottom so the intake stays clear of sediment.
Do i need a control box or any special electrical panel?
No control box is required. the fountain must be powered through a gfci, and if you use the 115 v motor the fountain should be no more than 100 feet from the main breaker. for longer runs, choose the 230 v motor.
How is the fountain held in place?
Two 25-pound weights or concrete blocks are tied to the unit with two nylon ropes. the weights and rope are not included with the fountain.
Can it be used in salt water?
Yes. the oil-free stainless-steel submersible motor is rated for both fresh water and salt water.
Does the motor need oil changes or seasonal servicing?
No. the motor is oil-free, so there is nothing to drain or refill, and it is designed to run 24 hours a day.
Can i add lights later?
Yes. led light sets are an option you can order with the fountain or add afterward.
