The large-pond Boilermaker is the commercial end of the range, fitted with a 2 hp or 3 hp 230 V motor for ponds larger than half an acre. It is a low-profile surface aerator, so the output appears as a broad, heavily aerated boil at the waterline rather than a tall fountain plume - a pattern chosen for volume and mixing rather than display.

The 2 hp motor turns over 700 gallons per minute and the 3 hp 800, both running at 3,450 rpm, drawing 10 A and 13.3 A respectively at 230 V. At those rates a single unit keeps a large body of water circulating and oxygenated instead of stratifying through the warm months. In winter the same aerator can be used as a de-icer to hold open water where it sits.

Both motors are stainless-steel oil-free submersible units assembled in Holland, Michigan. There is no oil to change, no service interval to track and no control box to install on shore. The aerator is approved for fresh and salt water and designed to run 24 hours a day. Seasonal shutdown takes no preparation - cut the power, leave the unit in the pond, and switch it back on when the ice clears.

A 100-foot 10-gauge submersible cord is standard, with 150, 200 and 250-foot lengths available for ponds sited well away from the service panel. Optional LED light sets are offered in color-changing or "Night Glo" versions, in two-light or four-light configurations, and can be ordered with the aerator or fitted later.

Scott Aerator covers this unit with a five-year warranty against motor failure and a one-year warranty against factory defects on all other components, extended to the original owner from the date of purchase.

Warranty service is handled at the factory. A unit needing inspection must be sent in with shipping prepaid by the owner; once the fault is confirmed, replaced parts are returned with shipping prepaid. Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number before sending anything in and we will start the claim.

Damage from improper wiring, running the unit without a GFCI, operating it outside its rated voltage, freezing in a dry unit, or physical impact is not covered.

What size pond does this suit?
Ponds larger than half an acre, with at least 42 inches of water depth at the aerator's position.
Why choose the boil pattern over a display fountain?
A low discharge puts more of the motor's output into moving and mixing water rather than lifting it, which is usually the priority on larger ponds where circulation matters more than appearance.
Is there a 115 v option?
No. these motors are 230 v only. the 100-foot limit between the main breaker and the unit applies to 115 v motors elsewhere in the range, which is part of why the larger sizes are 230 v.
Can it be used as a de-icer?
Yes. the aerator can be left running through winter to keep an opening in the ice, or shut off and left in place until the water thaws.
What is required for anchoring?
Two weights or concrete blocks plus two nylon ropes, none of which ship with the unit - 45 lb weights for the 2 hp motor and 55 lb for the 3 hp.
Do i need a gfci?
Yes, a ground fault circuit interrupter is required on the supply. power should also be disconnected whenever swimmers are in the water.
