The Bubble Pro Mini is the smallest system in Scott Aerator's subsurface aeration line, intended for modest ponds where the owner wants better water quality without hardware sitting out on the surface. Rather than spraying water into the air the way a fountain does, the Mini sets a single diffuser module on the pond floor and runs a weighted airline back to a compressor placed on shore. From the bank, the only sign the system is working is a patch of rising bubbles, which leaves the pond looking untouched.

Air leaves the shore-mounted quarter-horsepower rocking-piston compressor, travels down the airline, and exits the bottom diffuser as a fine bubble stream. Those bubbles pull oxygen-starved water up from the bottom as they climb, and once that water reaches the surface it vents built-up gases and takes on oxygen before sinking back down. Turning over the whole water column this way spreads dissolved oxygen from the bed to the surface instead of letting the deeper layers sit stagnant.

How much pond a single diffuser can handle depends on depth, because a deeper pond gives each bubble a longer climb and a wider circulation pattern. Scott Aerator rates the Mini at roughly a quarter acre in water 5 to 8 feet deep, half an acre between 9 and 12 feet, and a full acre from 13 to 16 feet. That is why the identical hardware is credited with four times the surface area at the deep end of the range.

The Mini is also listed as a de-icer. Running it through the cold season keeps the water moving beneath the diffuser, which holds an opening in the ice and gives trapped gases a route out instead of letting them collect under a sealed surface. The compressor can be ordered bare or paired with an enclosure — a weatherproof cabinet, a steel cabinet fitted with a cooling fan and ground base, or a lockable deluxe steel cabinet — depending on how exposed the shoreline spot is.

What's Included

  • One bottom-mounted diffuser
  • One 100-foot length of 3/8-inch quick-sink weighted airline tubing
  • Quarter-horsepower rocking-piston air compressor in either 115 V or 230 V
  • Valved air outlet assembly with individual hose control and a pressure relief valve
  • All fittings and clamps required for assembly
  • Compressor cabinets are separate options and are not part of the base system

Compressor

  • Compressor: 1/4 hp rocking piston
  • Voltage options: 115 V or 230 V
  • Air outlet: Valved assembly with individual hose control and pressure relief valve

Aeration System

  • Diffusers: One
  • Airline: One 100 ft length of 3/8 in quick-sink weighted tubing
  • Fittings: All required fittings and clamps included

Pond Coverage by Depth

  • 5 to 8 ft deep: Up to 1/4 acre
  • 9 to 12 ft deep: Up to 1/2 acre
  • 13 to 16 ft deep: Up to 1 acre

Ordering

  • Manufacturer part number: 44050 (115 V) / 44050.23 (230 V)
  • Cabinet options: None, weatherproof, steel with fan and ground base, or deluxe lockable steel

  • Single bottom diffuser keeps the entire aeration assembly below the waterline and out of sight
  • Quarter-horsepower rocking-piston compressor mounts on shore, so no electricity runs into the pond
  • 100 feet of weighted quick-sink tubing settles onto the pond floor instead of floating up
  • Valved outlet assembly allows airflow to be trimmed and includes a pressure relief valve
  • Rated from a quarter acre in shallow ponds up to a full acre in water 13 to 16 feet deep
  • Serves as a winter de-icer by holding an opening in the ice above the diffuser
  • Available in 115 V and 230 V, with optional weatherproof or lockable steel compressor cabinets

This system carries a two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase, to the original owner.

Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and a description of the fault to start a claim. Warranty inspection is handled at the factory, with the owner prepaying shipping in and replaced parts returned prepaid.

Routine service items such as diffuser membranes and compressor filters are maintenance parts rather than warranty items, and damage from improper wiring or operating outside the rated voltage is not covered.

How deep does my pond need to be for this system?
Scott aerator's coverage ratings for the mini begin at the 5 to 8 foot band, where the single diffuser is credited with about a quarter acre. shallower water limits how far the rising bubble column can circulate, so subsurface aeration suits ponds that have a few feet of depth to work with.
Does the compressor sit in the water?
No. the compressor is installed on shore and only the airline and the diffuser go into the pond, which means there is no electricity in the water.
Can i run it through the winter?
Yes. the mini is listed as a de-icer, and leaving it running keeps an opening in the ice above the diffuser so gases that would otherwise be trapped under the surface can escape.
How much airline comes with it?
One 100-foot length of 3/8-inch quick-sink weighted tubing. the weighting is what lets it sink and stay along the bottom rather than drifting to the surface.
Do i have to buy a cabinet for the compressor?
No, the cabinet is optional. the system can be ordered with no enclosure at all, a weatherproof cabinet, a steel cabinet with a cooling fan and ground base, or a deluxe lockable steel cabinet, depending on how exposed the shore-side location is.
How does the mini differ from the larger bubble pro systems?
The mini runs one diffuser off a quarter-horsepower compressor. the bigger models in the series add diffusers and airlines and move up to larger compressors so they can circulate more surface area.
