The Gusher Fountain for small residential ponds does one thing deliberately: it sends a single thick column of water straight up, about 15 feet on this 1/2 hp model, and lets it fall back in a heavy cascade. Where a multi-nozzle fountain spreads a thin veil of water over a wide area, the Gusher concentrates its volume, which is why the display holds its shape on breezy days instead of blowing sideways into a mist.

That dense column is also the working part of the fountain. Water thrown into the air and dropped back picks up oxygen on the way, and oxygenated water is what helps break down the decaying plant matter that otherwise accumulates on a small pond. Keeping the surface in constant motion also discourages mosquitoes from using the pond as a breeding site.

The pump is a 1/2 hp oil-free stainless-steel submersible motor available in 115 V or 230 V, turning at 3,450 rpm and moving 50 gallons per minute. There is no oil to change and no control box to mount on shore, so the installation comes down to floating the unit, anchoring it and running power to it. Scott Aerator builds the fountains in Holland, Michigan, approves them for fresh and salt water, and designs them to run continuously.

This model needs a minimum of 36 inches of water depth, which makes it workable on shallower residential ponds than the larger Gushers. It is held in place with two 25 lb weights or concrete blocks and two nylon ropes, none of which ship with the fountain. A 70 ft, 12-gauge submersible cord is standard, with longer runs available, and the circuit has to be GFCI protected. The 115 V motor is the right choice only when the main breaker is within 100 ft; beyond that, order 230 V. For nighttime use, LED light sets can be added at purchase or fitted later.

Scott Aerator covers this unit with a five-year warranty against motor failure and a one-year warranty against factory defects on all other components, extended to the original owner from the date of purchase.

Warranty service is handled at the factory. A unit needing inspection must be sent in with shipping prepaid by the owner; once the fault is confirmed, replaced parts are returned with shipping prepaid. Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number before sending anything in and we will start the claim.

Damage from improper wiring, running the unit without a GFCI, operating it outside its rated voltage, freezing in a dry unit, or physical impact is not covered.

How shallow a pond can this run in?
A minimum water depth of 36 inches is required at the spot where the fountain will float.
How high does the water go?
The 1/2 hp gusher produces a vertical column of about 15 feet. taller columns require the medium or large gusher models.
Do i need a gfci?
Yes. a ground fault circuit interrupter is required on the circuit feeding the fountain, and power should be disconnected whenever swimmers are in the pond.
Which voltage should i order?
Choose 115 v only if the distance from your main breaker to the fountain is 100 ft or less. if the run is longer, order the 230 v motor.
What anchoring hardware do i need to buy?
Two 25 lb weights or concrete blocks and two nylon ropes. these are not supplied with the fountain.
Can lights be added after i buy it?
Yes. the two-light and four-light led sets can be ordered with the fountain or fitted later.
