This EasyPro quarter-horsepower rocking-piston compressor is the air source fitted to both the Bubble Pro and the Bubble Pro Mini subsurface aeration systems, offered here as a standalone unit. It is the smallest of the three Bubble Pro compressors and is specified for continuous operation, since diffused aeration systems are normally left running rather than switched on and off. It also works with other diffused-air arrangements, so it suits a replacement on an existing small-pond system.

The compressor is oil-free in operation. Nothing needs topping off or draining, and there is no path for oil to work its way into the airline and down to the diffuser. With the unit installed on the bank, the entire electrical side of the system stays out of the pond and only air travels through the tubing — the main reason diffused aeration is used where people, animals or fish are in the water.

Rated output is 2 CFM measured against the back pressure of a 10-foot water column. That is the number to size against when matching the compressor to one or two diffusers and a given pond depth, since air delivery falls as depth increases. Two builds are available, a 115 V version drawing 1.7 amps and a 230 V version drawing 0.9 amps, which lets the unit be matched to whatever circuit already reaches the shoreline.

The mechanical design favours long intervals between attention. Die-cast aluminum components keep the overall weight low enough for one person to mount it, and the cylinder is hard-coated to resist wear under constant piston movement. Bearings come permanently lubricated with no maintenance expected, and the piston seal is intended as a replaceable item so a worn compressor can be rebuilt rather than discarded.

Motor & Power

  • Compressor type: Rocking piston, oil-free
  • Horsepower: 1/4 hp
  • Voltage options: 115 V or 230 V
  • Current draw at 115 V: 1.7 amps
  • Current draw at 230 V: 0.9 amps
  • Duty: Designed for 24-hour operation

Performance

  • Air flow: 2 CFM at 10 foot depth

Construction

  • Housing and components: Lightweight die-cast aluminum
  • Cylinder: Hard-coated for wear resistance
  • Bearings: Permanently lubricated
  • Piston seal: Easily replaceable

Ordering

  • Manufacturer part number: 44055 (115 V) / 44056 (230 V)
  • Used in: Bubble Pro and Bubble Pro Mini subsurface aeration systems

  • Rated at 2 CFM against 10 feet of water depth
  • Oil-free rocking-piston design with nothing to drain or refill
  • Specified for 24-hour continuous running, as diffused aeration requires
  • Lowest current draw of the Bubble Pro compressors at 1.7 amps on 115 V
  • Die-cast aluminum components keep the unit light and easy to mount
  • Hard-coated cylinder for wear resistance under constant operation
  • Permanently lubricated bearings with a replaceable piston seal as the service part
  • Direct match for the Bubble Pro and Bubble Pro Mini systems, which both use this compressor

No fixed warranty term is published for this item. It is covered against defects in materials and workmanship on arrival, so contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and photos if it arrives faulty or does not match what you ordered, and we will confirm coverage and handle the claim.

Normal wear and consumable service life are not covered, and neither is damage from installation outside the stated compatibility or operating conditions.

What is the air output?
2 cfm at a 10-foot depth. delivery drops as depth and back pressure rise, so comparing compressors is only meaningful when the ratings are quoted at the same depth.
How many diffusers can it supply?
This is the compressor used in both the bubble pro mini, which runs one diffuser, and the bubble pro, which runs two. for other arrangements, size the diffuser demand against the 2 cfm rating at your pond's depth.
Does it need to be installed in the water?
No. it mounts on shore and only the airline goes into the pond, so no electrical component is submerged.
Is there oil to change?
No. the design is oil-free, so there is no maintenance of that kind and no risk of oil reaching the diffuser through the airline.
Which voltage version should i choose?
Match it to the circuit at the compressor location. the 115 v build draws 1.7 amps and the 230 v build draws 0.9 amps, and both move the same volume of air.
Can i rebuild it rather than replace it?
The piston seal is designed to be replaced easily, which is the usual wear point. the bearings are permanently lubricated and are not a service item.
