This EasyPro half-horsepower rocking-piston compressor is the air source used in the Bubble Pro Max subsurface aeration system, sold here on its own. It is built for round-the-clock duty, which is what pond aeration demands: the unit is expected to run continuously rather than cycle on and off, so the internals are specified for sustained load instead of occasional use. It also pairs with other subsurface setups, making it a straightforward replacement or upgrade for an existing diffused-air system.

The compressor runs oil-free, so there is no crankcase oil to monitor or change and no risk of oil carrying downstream into the airline. Like all shore-mounted aeration compressors, it keeps the electrical side of the system entirely out of the pond — only air travels down the tubing to the diffusers, which is why diffused aeration is favoured where swimmers, livestock or fish are involved.

Air delivery is rated at 4.3 CFM against the back pressure of a 10-foot water column, which is the figure that matters when sizing a compressor to diffuser count and pond depth. The unit is offered in two voltage builds: a 115 V version drawing 3.6 amps and a 230 V version drawing 1.8 amps. Choosing between them generally comes down to what service is already available at the shoreline equipment location.

Construction is geared toward long service intervals. The castings are die-cast aluminum, which keeps the unit light enough to handle and mount without special equipment, and the cylinder is hard-coated to resist wear from continuous piston travel. Bearings are permanently lubricated, and the piston seal — the part that eventually wears in any rocking-piston design — is made to be swapped out rather than requiring a whole new compressor.

Motor & Power

  • Compressor type: Rocking piston, oil-free
  • Horsepower: 1/2 hp
  • Voltage options: 115 V or 230 V
  • Current draw at 115 V: 3.6 amps
  • Current draw at 230 V: 1.8 amps

Performance

  • Air flow: 4.3 CFM at 10 foot depth

Construction

  • Housing and components: Lightweight die-cast aluminum
  • Cylinder: Hard-coated for wear resistance
  • Bearings: Permanently lubricated
  • Piston seal: Easily replaceable

Ordering

  • Manufacturer part number: 44060 (115 V) / 44061 (230 V)
  • Used in: Bubble Pro Max subsurface aeration system

  • Rated at 4.3 CFM against 10 feet of water depth
  • Oil-free rocking-piston design with no crankcase oil to change
  • Specified for continuous 24-hour running rather than intermittent duty
  • Die-cast aluminum components keep the unit light enough to mount by hand
  • Hard-coated cylinder resists wear from sustained piston travel
  • Permanently lubricated bearings and a piston seal that can be replaced in service
  • Offered in 115 V and 230 V builds to match available shoreline power
  • Same compressor supplied with the Bubble Pro Max, so it drops into that system directly

No fixed warranty term is published for this item. It is covered against defects in materials and workmanship on arrival, so contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and photos if it arrives faulty or does not match what you ordered, and we will confirm coverage and handle the claim.

Normal wear and consumable service life are not covered, and neither is damage from installation outside the stated compatibility or operating conditions.

How much air does this compressor move?
It is rated at 4.3 cfm at a 10-foot depth. air output on a diffused system always falls as depth increases, so the depth the figure is quoted at is what makes it comparable between models.
Does the compressor go in the water?
No. it mounts on shore and only the airline runs out to the diffusers, so there is no electricity submerged in the pond.
Is there any oil to change?
No. the compressor is oil-free, which means no oil changes and no chance of oil being pushed into the airline and down to the diffusers.
Should i order the 115 v or the 230 v version?
That depends on the service available where the compressor will sit. the 115 v build draws 3.6 amps and the 230 v build draws 1.8 amps; the air output is the same either way.
Can it run all day and night?
Yes. it is designed for 24-hour operation, which is how subsurface aeration systems are normally run rather than being switched on and off.
What wears out on this unit?
The piston seal is the normal service item on a rocking-piston compressor, and this one is designed to be replaced easily. the bearings are permanently lubricated and need no attention.
