The Scott Aerator Solar Subsurface Aeration System brings diffused-air aeration to ponds that have no electrical service nearby. There is no grid connection, no AC wiring run out to the water and no battery bank in the standard configuration — a pole-mounted solar module powers the compressor directly, and the system continues to produce air under overcast skies rather than waiting for full sun. For remote stock ponds, back pastures, stormwater basins and golf course water features, that removes the trenching and electrical work that normally decides whether a pond can be aerated at all.

The standard system runs a single 300-watt, 60-cell module feeding one high-efficiency brushless rocking-piston compressor, which supplies two self-weighted diffusers through a 300-foot airline. Air released at the pond bed rises as a bubble column, lifting oxygen-depleted bottom water to the surface where it vents accumulated gases and takes on oxygen before circulating back down. The compressor is rated at 2.5 SCFM and will work in water beyond 30 feet deep at 25 psi, and it covers ponds up to roughly 2.5 acres.

Scott Aerator built the system around a brushless compressor specifically for service life, stating it runs more than three times longer than the brushed permanent-magnet motors commonly used in solar aeration. The supporting hardware is specified in the same vein: an all-welded powder-coated steel base, a fiberglass-reinforced enclosure, stainless steel locking hasps and hardware, rubber isolation mounts under the compressor to cut vibration, and a washable, reusable air intake filter. Automatic active ventilation moving 78 CFM keeps the cabinet interior from heat-soaking in summer, and the unit runs under 65 dB measured at six feet.

Control and plumbing components sit inside the enclosure: rocker-style circuit breakers, a brass automatic pressure relief valve, a liquid-filled stainless steel pressure gauge for reading system back pressure at a glance, and two full-flow brass ball valves so airflow can be balanced between the two diffusers. Air connections are made at external ports, so the airline can be attached without opening the cabinet. Components are American-made and every unit is fully factory tested before it leaves the plant.

What's Included and What You'll Need

  • Included: one 300-watt 60-cell solar module, 39 by 65 inches, with adjustable top-of-pole racking
  • Included: brushless rocking-piston compressor in a fiberglass-reinforced, vented enclosure on a welded steel base
  • Included: one 3/8-inch by 300-foot airline and two self-weighted diffusers
  • Included: brass automatic pressure relief valve, liquid-filled stainless pressure gauge, two full-flow brass ball valves and rocker circuit breakers
  • Not included: the vertical galvanized mounting pole, roughly 10 feet long and 3 inches nominal (3 1/2 inch OD), which is required for the panel and racking
  • Optional: a 48-volt backup battery module giving up to three days of aeration without sun, with MPPT charge control over Bluetooth, a digital time clock and automatic ventilation. It requires a two-panel array, so ordering it upgrades a standard system to two modules.

Solar & Power

  • Solar module: One 300 W, 60-cell module
  • Module size: 39 in x 65 in
  • Mounting: Adjustable top-of-pole racking
  • Batteries: Not required; optional 48 V backup battery module available

Compressor & Performance

  • Compressor: High-efficiency brushless rocking piston
  • Air output: 2.5 SCFM
  • Pressure rating: 25 psi
  • Operating depth: 30+ ft
  • Sound level: Under 65 dB at 6 ft
  • Enclosure ventilation: 78 CFM automatic active ventilation

Aeration System

  • Diffusers: Two self-weighted
  • Airline: One 3/8 in x 300 ft
  • Pond coverage: Up to 2.5 acres
  • Airflow control: Two full-flow brass ball valves

  • Intake filter: Washable and reusable
  • Instrumentation: Liquid-filled stainless steel pressure gauge and brass automatic pressure relief valve

Ordering

  • Manufacturer part number: 45000
  • Testing: 100% factory tested

  • Runs on solar power alone with no grid connection, AC wiring to the pond or battery bank required
  • Continues aerating in cloudy conditions rather than only in direct sun
  • Brushless compressor rated by the manufacturer at more than three times the service life of brushed permanent-magnet motors
  • Two self-weighted diffusers and a 300-foot airline cover ponds up to 2.5 acres
  • Rated for water over 30 feet deep at 25 psi and 2.5 SCFM
  • Runs under 65 dB at six feet, with 78 CFM of automatic ventilation to manage cabinet heat
  • Weatherproof build: welded powder-coated steel base, fiberglass-reinforced enclosure and stainless locking hardware
  • External air connection ports and plug-and-play wiring keep installation short

This system carries a two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase, to the original owner.

Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and a description of the fault to start a claim. Warranty inspection is handled at the factory, with the owner prepaying shipping in and replaced parts returned prepaid.

Routine service items such as diffuser membranes and compressor filters are maintenance parts rather than warranty items, and damage from improper wiring or operating outside the rated voltage is not covered.

Do i need electricity at the pond?
No. that is the point of this system. the solar module powers the compressor directly, so there is no service to run, no trenching and no ac wiring out to the water.
Does it stop working when it's cloudy?
No. scott aerator specifies it to keep aerating in cloudy conditions. if you need aeration through extended periods without sun, the optional 48-volt battery module adds up to three days of run time.
What isn't in the box?
The vertical mounting pole. you will need a galvanized pole roughly 10 feet long in 3-inch nominal size, which is 3 1/2 inches outside diameter, to carry the panel and the adjustable racking. everything else needed to run the system is supplied.
How deep can the diffusers go?
The compressor is rated for depths over 30 feet at 25 psi, so it handles deep ponds as well as shallow ones. each of the two diffusers is self-weighted and sits on the bed without added anchoring.
How large a pond will it handle?
The standard two-diffuser system is rated for ponds up to about 2.5 acres. a larger xl configuration with four diffusers and two solar modules is made for ponds up to roughly 5 acres.
How loud is it?
Under 65 db measured at six feet. the compressor sits on rubber isolation mounts inside a fiberglass-reinforced enclosure, which is what keeps the noise down.
