The Triad Fountain is a decorative surface fountain sized for medium residential ponds, and it arrives with three brass nozzles rather than one. That means a single unit can produce three visually different displays, so the spray can be matched to the pond's shape, the viewing angle from the house, and how much wind the site gets. Three motor sizes are offered: 3/4 hp and 1 hp in either 115 V or 230 V, and 1 1/2 hp in 230 V.

Each nozzle produces its own shape. The Gusher sends up a narrow vertical column and the Skyward combines a center column with a wide, softer outer spray, both of which are supplied with every motor size. The third nozzle depends on the motor: the 3/4 hp and 1 hp units ship with the Cambridge, which throws a layered multi-tiered pattern, while the 1 1/2 hp unit ships with the Rosewood in its place. Swapping between them takes a few minutes by hand and needs no tools.

Reach scales with the motor. On the 3/4 hp the Cambridge climbs to roughly 25 feet high and spreads about 35 feet across, the Gusher reaches about 20 feet, and the Skyward covers about 25 by 30 feet. The 1 hp takes the Cambridge to about 30 by 40 feet, the Gusher to about 25 feet, and the Skyward to about 30 by 32 feet. On the 1 1/2 hp the Rosewood reaches about 30 by 40 feet, the Gusher climbs to about 30 feet, and the Skyward opens up to about 40 by 50 feet. Flow follows the same pattern, running 55 to 65 GPM on the 3/4 hp, 70 to 75 GPM on the 1 hp, and 90 GPM on the 1 1/2 hp, varying with the nozzle in use.

While it runs, the fountain lifts water from below the surface and pushes it back through the air, which adds oxygen and keeps the pond turning over instead of stratifying. The motor is an oil-free stainless-steel submersible unit rated for round-the-clock duty, with no oil to change and no separate control box to mount on shore. Both fresh and salt water are approved. Seasonal shutdown is simple: kill the power at the end of the season, leave the fountain where it sits, and switch it back on in spring. Wiring has to run through a GFCI, and power should be cut any time swimmers are in the water. A 115 V motor only works if the run from the main breaker is 100 feet or less; past that, a 230 V motor is the correct choice. The fountains are built in Holland, Michigan.

Scott Aerator covers this unit with a five-year warranty against motor failure and a one-year warranty against factory defects on all other components, extended to the original owner from the date of purchase.

Warranty service is handled at the factory. A unit needing inspection must be sent in with shipping prepaid by the owner; once the fault is confirmed, replaced parts are returned with shipping prepaid. Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number before sending anything in and we will start the claim.

Damage from improper wiring, running the unit without a GFCI, operating it outside its rated voltage, freezing in a dry unit, or physical impact is not covered.

How deep does my pond need to be?
At least 44 inches at the spot where the fountain will sit for the 3/4 hp and 1 hp motors, and at least 50 inches for the 1 1/2 hp.
Which nozzles come with each motor size?
The 3/4 hp and 1 hp units ship with the cambridge, gusher and skyward nozzles. the 1 1/2 hp unit ships with the rosewood, gusher and skyward instead.
Do i need a control box on shore?
No. the oil-free submersible motor runs without a separate control box, so the only shore-side requirement is a properly protected power supply.
Is a gfci required?
Yes. the fountain must be wired through a gfci, and power should be disconnected whenever swimmers are in the pond.
What do i need to anchor it?
Two anchor weights or concrete blocks plus two nylon ropes, none of which are included. use two 30 lb weights with the 3/4 hp motor, two 35 lb with the 1 hp, and two 45 lb with the 1 1/2 hp.
When do i have to choose a 230 v motor instead of 115 v?
Whenever the distance from the main breaker to the fountain is more than 100 feet. within 100 feet either voltage works on the 3/4 hp and 1 hp; the 1 1/2 hp is 230 v only.
