MotoTec Hooligan 72cc 4-Stroke Gas Dirt Bike - Recreational Off-Road Use Only

The Hooligan 72cc is the largest of MotoTec's automatic mini dirt bikes, built around a 71.8cc air-cooled four-stroke single with a 47 mm bore and 41.4 mm stroke. It puts out a rated 3.31 kW at roughly 8,000 rpm and pushes the bike to 33 mph - a real jump over the 60cc version - while keeping the same twist-and-go automatic centrifugal transmission and 12v 4ah electric start, so the extra performance does not come with extra controls to learn.

The bigger engine sits in a proportionally bigger chassis. Wheelbase grows to 38 inches, seat height to 27, and ground clearance to 6 inches, all of which give a taller teen room to move around on the bike instead of riding perched on top of it. Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear replace the cable-operated setup found lower in the range, which matters a great deal once the bike is genuinely capable of 33 mph on open ground. Suspension is an inverted front fork with a rear mono shock, and 2.50-10 knobby tires handle both wet and dry dirt.

At 99 lbs dry with a 210 lb rider rating, it is the model in the automatic lineup that a nearly adult-sized rider can still use comfortably. The 1.5-liter tank covers 10-plus miles per fill, the engine runs an A7TC plug and 22 fl-oz of oil, and MotoTec specifies the same upgraded bearings, grippier tires and better suspension hardware that keep the rest of the range low maintenance.
