The Warrior 52cc is the aluminum-framed member of MotoTec's two-stroke kids range, and the frame is the point. Swapping steel for aluminum drops the bike to 44 lbs dry (19.8 kg) while keeping a 150 lb rider rating, so a teenager can pick it up, load it into a vehicle and get it back upright after a fall without help. That matters more day to day than any spec sheet number.

The 52cc air-cooled two-stroke starts on a pull cord and drives through an automatic centrifugal clutch, so there is no shifting to learn. It reaches 25 mph and runs a 25:1 unleaded premix from a 1.1-liter (0.27 gallon) tank, good for 10-plus miles per fill. Suspension is an inverted front fork with a rear mono shock, brakes are disc at both ends, and the 2.50-10 knobby tires are the same full-size mini bike rubber used on the larger machines in the range.

Geometry is set up for a taller rider than the entry bikes: the seat sits 24.5 inches off the ground on a compact 34-inch wheelbase, with 9 inches of ground clearance underneath. The short wheelbase makes it quick to turn on a tight track while the clearance keeps it from grounding out in ruts. MotoTec specifies upgraded wheel bearings, grippier long-wearing tires and better suspension hardware than a generic mini bike.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.

What does the aluminum frame change?
It cuts weight. at 44 lbs dry the warrior is light enough for a teenager to lift, load and right on their own, while still carrying riders up to 150 lbs.
What age is it recommended for?
Mototec lists 13 and up. the 24.5-inch seat height suits taller young riders, and an adult should supervise every ride.
How is the fuel mixed?
Premix unleaded gasoline with two-stroke oil at a 25:1 ratio before filling the 1.1-liter tank. a two-stroke depends on that oil for lubrication, so never run straight gasoline.
How fast does it go and how far?
Top speed is 25 mph, and a full tank covers 10 or more miles depending on terrain and riding style.
