The Intermatic 115 Volt Residential Timer is a plug-in outdoor timer for 115-volt pond equipment — fountains, aerators and light sets. It sits between the outlet and the equipment, so a fountain or aerator runs on a fixed daily cycle rather than drawing power all day, which is the simplest way to cut operating cost on a residential pond.

Timing is handled by a 24-hour dial. Two ON trippers and two OFF trippers come with the unit, giving two run periods a day out of the box, and the dial will accept as many as 12 sets if a schedule needs to be broken into more intervals. The longest single ON period the dial supports is 23 and a half hours.

The case is outdoor-grade plastic measuring 5 inches high, 5 1/2 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches deep, and the unit comes with a three-foot outdoor-grade cord ending in a three-prong grounded plug. Installation is a matter of plugging the timer into a GFCI-protected outlet and then plugging the fountain, aerator or light set into the timer.
