The ACOPOWER 15W 12V Solar Charger Kit is an entry-level solar setup pairing a 15-watt polycrystalline panel with a 5A PWM charge controller, built for users maintaining a battery rather than running a full power system. The controller uses a positive-grounding design and includes a 5V USB output for charging phones or other small USB devices alongside the main battery connection.

The panel connects via 12AWG cable with quick-connect PV connectors, and the controller comes with a 20-foot cable ending in an SAE connector for RVs with a pre-wired sidewall socket, plus alligator clips for direct battery hookup. The clips are designed to carry no voltage until they're clamped to a battery. The controller automatically stops charging once the battery reaches full charge and resumes when voltage drops, protecting against overcharging.

It's best suited to small maintenance-charging jobs — RVs, trailers, boats, sheds and cabins — where a full-size solar array isn't necessary, and the system can be expanded with a second panel if needed.
