AKEZ Jaguar Pro UL-Certified Fat Tire Electric Bike - Recreational Off-Road Use Only

The AKEZ Jaguar Pro is a single-motor fat tire electric bike built around a 48V 1500W brushless hub motor and a 48V 18.2Ah DMEGC lithium pack. It rides on 20 x 4.5-inch Chaoyang fat tires mounted to double-layer snowmobile rims, a wider footprint than the 4.0-inch tires used on most bikes in this class, which spreads the rider's weight over loose ground and keeps the bike tracking straight through sand, snow and broken trail.

What separates the Jaguar Pro from the rest of the AKEZ range is that its electrical system carries UL 2849 certification. That standard evaluates the battery, motor, controller and charger together as one system rather than testing the battery pack on its own, so the certification covers how the components behave as an assembly under electrical and thermal stress. The pack itself adds its own protection circuitry against overcharge, overheating and short circuits.

Suspension is handled by a dual hydraulic front fork paired with a rear air shock on a 20-inch aluminum alloy soft-tail frame, finished in a triple-layer coating. SIMAERS hydraulic disc brakes work at both wheels, and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain gives the rider real gear range when pedalling. A 28A controller feeds the motor, and an S6 colour LCD screen reports speed, gear, battery level and distance. Lighting runs to an LED headlight, running lights, brake lights and a horn.

The pedal drivetrain is a conventional chain and 7-speed freewheel with five levels of pedal assist, so the bike can be ridden under leg power, under throttle, or with the motor supplementing pedalling. AKEZ lists a recommended rider height of 5'2" to 6'5" and a payload of 350 pounds, and the bike arrives roughly 85 percent pre-assembled.
