The Scott Aerator AquaSweep Max is the largest muck mover in the AquaSweep line, built around a 1 1/2 hp motor for shorelines, canals, beaches and dock fronts where the smaller units cannot shift enough material. It is deliberately not a dock-mounted machine. The thrust is too strong for dock mounting, so it is set up freestanding on a tripod in open water where the discharge has room to work.

Output is 600 gallons per minute, with the flow carrying 100 feet from the unit. Aimed downward, that current lifts muck, silt, decaying leaves and loose sediment off the bottom and moves it out of the area being cleaned; aimed higher, it drives floating algae and debris away from the shoreline. A weed-free design with a debris shield keeps vegetation out of the propeller so the unit can run continuously rather than being shut down to clear jams. The head swivels to point in any direction, and an optional programmable oscillator rotates it in 20-degree steps every 20 minutes for as much as 359 degrees of coverage.

The motor is a stainless-steel, oil-free submersible unit turning at 3,450 rpm on 230-volt single-phase 60 Hz power, drawing 10.6 amps and 1.1 kW. There is no oil to change, no routine maintenance and no control box to mount on shore. Three-phase and 50 Hz versions are available for sites that need them. Housing and hardware are high-density polyurethane and stainless steel, and the unit is rated for both fresh and salt water. Everything is built in-house in Holland, Michigan.

A 150-foot submersible 12-gauge power cord is included as standard, which is long enough to reach most shore power locations without an extension, and longer cords can be ordered. The unit must run on a GFCI-protected circuit, and power should be cut whenever swimmers are in the water. The oscillator package, when selected, arrives with its own tripod and quick-release adapter.

Damage from improper wiring, running the unit without a GFCI, operating it outside its rated voltage, freezing in a dry unit, or physical impact is not covered.

Can the aquasweep max be mounted on a dock?
No. its thrust is too strong for dock mounting, so it is designed to stand freely on a tripod in open water where the discharge has room to disperse.
How much water does it move, and how far?
It moves 600 gallons per minute and the flow carries 100 feet from the unit, which is what gives it the reach to move muck and surface debris out of a cleaning area.
What electrical supply does it need?
A 230-volt single-phase 60 hz circuit with gfci protection. the motor draws 10.6 amps and 1.1 kw, and no separate control box is needed. power should be disconnected whenever swimmers are present.
How long is the power cord?
A 150-foot submersible 12-gauge cord is standard, and longer cords can be ordered if the shore power connection is further away.
Will weeds and leaves clog the propeller?
The unit uses a weed-free design with a debris shield that keeps vegetation out of the propeller, which is what allows it to be left running continuously.
Is there any maintenance or oil to change?
No. the submersible motor is oil-free, so there is nothing to drain or top off and no routine servicing required.
