The Scott Aerator Atriarch Fountain for large commercial ponds is the heaviest-duty configuration of the Atriarch pattern, intended for retention ponds, golf course water features, corporate campuses and large private lakes. A solid brass center jet is encircled by eight brass nozzles, and two motor sizes set the scale of the display: the two-horsepower version throws a pattern of roughly 50 feet by 60 feet, while the three-horsepower version reaches approximately 60 feet by 70 feet. Both give a fountain with enough presence to read from a distance.

Each size uses a 230-volt oil-free submersible motor in a stainless-steel housing, running at 3,450 rpm on single-phase 60 Hz power. The two-horsepower motor consumes 1.5 kW, draws 10 amps and pushes 155 gallons per minute. The three-horsepower motor consumes 2.2 kW, draws 13.3 amps and pushes 180 gallons per minute. Because there is no oil in either motor, routine servicing is minimal, and no control box has to be installed on shore. Three-phase and 50 Hz versions are available for sites whose supply calls for them.

Depth and anchoring requirements rise with the motor. The two-horsepower unit needs a minimum water depth of 56 inches and two 45-pound weights or concrete blocks; the three-horsepower unit needs at least 60 inches and two 55-pound weights. Both are tied off with two nylon ropes, and none of that hardware is supplied. Cord length is a selectable option across the range: a 100-foot, 10-gauge submersible cord is standard, with 150-, 200- and 250-foot lengths available for water set well back from the supply. The feed circuit must be GFCI protected, and power should be disconnected whenever anyone is swimming.

Built in Holland, Michigan, the unit is designed to tolerate freezing conditions, so there is no winterizing procedure: cut the power, leave the fountain in the water, and restore power after the thaw. Both motors are rated for fresh and salt water and for continuous 24-hour operation, which suits sites where the fountain doubles as a circulation and oxygenation tool rather than a seasonal ornament. LED light sets can be specified with the order or added at a later date.

How deep does the pond have to be?
The 2 hp motor requires at least 56 inches at the fountain's location and the 3 hp motor requires at least 60 inches, so the intake stays well clear of the bottom.
What is the difference between the 2 hp and 3 hp versions?
The 2 hp motor moves 155 gpm and sprays about 50 ft by 60 ft on 1.5 kw. the 3 hp motor moves 180 gpm and sprays about 60 ft by 70 ft on 2.2 kw, and it needs the deeper 60-inch minimum.
Is this fountain available in 115 v?
No. both the 2 hp and 3 hp motors are 230 v. three-phase and 50 hz versions can be supplied if the site requires them.
What is needed to anchor it?
Two nylon ropes and two weights or concrete blocks: 45 pounds each for the 2 hp motor, 55 pounds each for the 3 hp motor. none of it is included with the fountain.
How far from the breaker panel can it be installed?
A 100-foot 10-gauge submersible cord is standard, and 150-, 200- and 250-foot cords are selectable options for longer runs. the circuit must be gfci protected.
Does it need to come out of the water before winter?
No. the unit tolerates freezing, so you shut the power off and leave it in place, then restore power once the ice is gone.
