It cools from 77°F to 32°F in about 10 minutes and covers a -4°F to 68°F range, so each of its two zones can be set independently as a fridge or freezer.

Having two batteries rather than one is the key difference from a standard battery-powered version, and it is meant to keep the unit running through longer trips without needing to find a recharging source every day or two. Like the rest of the CRX2 line, it includes multi-level battery protection to guard against overcharging, over-discharging, and low-voltage conditions that could otherwise damage the batteries over time.
