The Bubble Pro Max XL sits at the top of Scott Aerator's subsurface aeration line, configured with four double diffusers and a three-quarter-horsepower compressor for the largest ponds and small lakes in the range. The compressor is installed on land and feeds four separate weighted airlines, each running out to a diffuser resting on the bed. Because every component is either on the bank or on the bottom, the water surface stays completely open.

Air pushed from the shore unit reaches each diffuser and leaves as a tight column of bubbles. On the way up those bubbles entrain the oxygen-poor water sitting near the bed and lift it to the surface, where it sheds accumulated gases and takes on oxygen before settling back down. With four diffuser stations the pond gets this turnover at four separate points, which matters on a large body of water where a single plume would leave most of the bottom untouched.

Rated coverage climbs with depth because a deeper water column lets each bubble do more work on its rise. Scott Aerator puts the XL at roughly one acre in water 5 to 8 feet deep, two acres from 9 to 12 feet, and four acres between 13 and 16 feet. Each of the four hoses carries its own control valve, so airflow can be divided unevenly when the diffusers end up at different depths.

In cold climates the XL also functions as an ice-prevention system. Continuous operation through winter keeps water moving upward at each diffuser, holding openings in the ice so gases do not accumulate beneath a sealed surface. The compressor is sold on its own or with a deluxe lockable steel cabinet for installations where the shore-side equipment needs to be secured and protected.

What's Included

  • Four double diffusers for bottom placement
  • Four 100-foot lengths of 3/8-inch quick-sink weighted airline tubing

  • Valved air outlet assembly with four individually controlled hoses and a pressure relief valve
  • All fittings and clamps required for assembly
  • The deluxe lockable steel cabinet is a separate option and is not part of the base system

Compressor

  • Compressor: 3/4 hp rocking piston
  • Voltage options: 115 V or 230 V
  • Air outlet: Valved assembly with pressure relief valve
  • Airline controls: Four hoses, each with its own control

Aeration System

  • Diffusers: Four double diffusers
  • Airlines: Four 100 ft lengths of 3/8 in quick-sink weighted tubing
  • Fittings: All required fittings and clamps included

Pond Coverage by Depth

  • 9 to 12 ft deep: Approximately 2 acres
  • 13 to 16 ft deep: Approximately 4 acres

Ordering

  • Manufacturer part number: 44150 (115 V) / 44150.23 (230 V)
  • Cabinet options: None or deluxe lockable steel cabinet

  • Four double diffusers circulate a large pond from several points instead of one central plume
  • Three-quarter-horsepower rocking-piston compressor is the largest in the Bubble Pro series
  • Each of the four airlines has an individual control valve for balancing airflow between stations
  • Four 100-foot weighted airlines sink on their own and stay seated on the pond bed
  • Rated to roughly four acres in water 13 to 16 feet deep and one acre in shallow ponds
  • Doubles as an ice-prevention system for cold-climate ponds
  • Available in 115 V or 230 V, with an optional deluxe lockable steel compressor cabinet

This system carries a two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase, to the original owner.

Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and a description of the fault to start a claim. Warranty inspection is handled at the factory, with the owner prepaying shipping in and replaced parts returned prepaid.

Routine service items such as diffuser membranes and compressor filters are maintenance parts rather than warranty items, and damage from improper wiring or operating outside the rated voltage is not covered.

How big a pond does the max xl cover?
It depends on depth. scott aerator lists about one acre in water 5 to 8 feet deep, two acres at 9 to 12 feet, and four acres between 13 and 16 feet.
Can the four diffusers be set at different depths?
Yes. each of the four hoses has its own control, so airflow can be increased or reduced per line, which is useful when the diffusers sit at different depths and therefore face different back pressure.
How far out can each diffuser be placed?
Each station comes with a 100-foot weighted airline, so that is the distance available from the compressor to each diffuser before extra tubing would be required.
Is any part of the system electrical in the water?
No. the compressor stays on shore and only the weighted airlines and the diffusers are submerged.
Does it work as a de-icer?
Yes. running it through the winter keeps the water circulating upward at each diffuser, which holds openings in the ice and lets gases vent instead of building up underneath.
What cabinet options are offered?
The xl can be ordered with no enclosure or with the deluxe lockable steel cabinet, which is the option for sites where the shore equipment needs to be locked up and weather-protected.
