The Scott Aerator Clover Fountain for medium residential ponds covers the middle of the Clover range, sized for ponds that have outgrown a half-horsepower display. A brass center nozzle lifts a vertical column while four angled jets push water outward, and the result is a clover-leaf footprint around the central plume. Three motor sizes are offered and each one changes the scale of the display: three-quarter horsepower reaches 25 feet high and 30 feet wide, one horsepower reaches 30 feet high and 38 feet wide, and one-and-a-half horsepower reaches 40 feet high and 45 feet wide.

All three use an oil-free submersible motor in a stainless-steel housing, running at 3,450 rpm on single-phase 60 Hz power. The three-quarter-horsepower motor draws 0.55 kW and moves 65 gallons per minute, the one-horsepower motor draws 0.75 kW and moves 75 gallons per minute, and the one-and-a-half-horsepower motor draws 1.1 kW and moves 90 gallons per minute. The two smaller sizes can be ordered at 115 volts or 230 volts; the largest is 230 volts only. With no oil inside the motor there is nothing to drain or replace, and no control box is needed on shore. Three-phase and 50 Hz builds are offered as well.

Required depth and anchoring weight both scale with the motor: 40 inches and two 20-pound weights for the three-quarter-horsepower unit, 44 inches and two 35-pound weights for the one-horsepower unit, and 50 inches and two 45-pound weights for the one-and-a-half-horsepower unit. All three are tied off with two nylon ropes, and none of this hardware ships with the fountain. Cord length is a selectable option on every configuration, with 100 feet standard and 150-, 200- and 250-foot submersible cords available. The supply must run through a GFCI, 115-volt installations should stay within 100 feet of the main breaker, and power should be cut whenever swimmers are present.

Running around the clock, the fountain works as a circulation and aeration tool as much as a visual feature, helping distribute oxygen through the upper water column. Every motor is rated for fresh and salt water and designed for continuous 24-hour operation. LED light sets in two-light and four-light configurations are available, and they can be ordered with the fountain or retrofitted later. Scott Aerator builds these units in Holland, Michigan.

How deep does the pond need to be?
It depends on the motor you choose: 40 inches for the 3/4 hp version, 44 inches for the 1 hp version and 50 inches for the 1 1/2 hp version, measured where the fountain will sit.
Which motor size should i pick?
The 3/4 hp motor moves 65 gpm and sprays 25 ft high by 30 ft wide, the 1 hp motor moves 75 gpm and sprays 30 ft high by 38 ft wide, and the 1 1/2 hp motor moves 90 gpm and sprays 40 ft high by 45 ft wide. choose on the display size you want and the depth your pond can provide.
Should i order the 115 v or 230 v motor?
The 3/4 hp and 1 hp motors come in both. choose 115 v only if the fountain will be within 100 feet of the main breaker; for a longer run, order 230 v. the 1 1/2 hp motor is 230 v only. a gfci is required in all cases.
What anchoring hardware do i need?
Two nylon ropes plus two weights or concrete blocks: 20 pounds each at 3/4 hp, 35 pounds each at 1 hp and 45 pounds each at 1 1/2 hp. none of it is included with the fountain.
Is a control box needed to run it?
No. the oil-free submersible motor operates without a control box, so nothing extra has to be mounted on shore.
What cord lengths are available?
100 feet is standard, and 150-, 200- and 250-foot submersible cords are selectable options for ponds farther from the power source.
