The Color-Changing LED Light Sets turn a pond fountain into a nighttime feature, and they are sold in a two-light configuration and a four-light configuration so the output can be matched to the size of the display. Both sets install on a new fountain or retrofit onto one already in the water, and the job takes minutes rather than an afternoon.

Colour is where the sets earn their name. Seven solid colours are available — red, warm white, blue, green, lavender, cyan and yellow-green — and purple, pink and orange are produced through the colour-changing and rotating patterns rather than as fixed settings. A handheld remote changes the colour and the pattern from the bank, so there is no need to get near the water to adjust the look.

Scheduling is handled by a programmable digital timer built into the exterior-grade power supply, which holds up to 16 separate on and off events. That is enough to run different schedules through the week, or to bring the lights up at dusk and shut them down well before morning without touching anything. Each fixture draws 24 watts, and the published output for the set is 1,230 lumens.

The fixtures and their mounting brackets are stainless steel, which is the right choice for hardware that stays submerged. A 100-foot submersible power cord is included with either set, and 150-, 200- and 250-foot cords can be ordered instead when the fountain sits further from the power source. One installation point matters: the included transformer and timer must be used. Wiring the fixtures straight to 110-volt power will damage them, void the warranty and create a safety hazard.

The light set is warranted for two years on the fixtures and mounting brackets and one year on the transformer and power cord, from the date of purchase to the original owner.
