The large-pond version of the DA-20 Display Aerator is the heavy-duty end of the range, built with a 2 hp or 3 hp 230 V motor for commercial water bodies and estate ponds over half an acre. It floats on the surface and launches a tall funnel of water, so the same machine that handles the aeration load also gives the site a large, visible fountain display.

Throughput is where this configuration separates itself: the 2 hp motor moves 700 gallons per minute and the 3 hp moves 800, both spinning at 3,450 rpm. That volume pushes algae away from the surface, discourages insects from settling on the water, and raises dissolved oxygen, which supports fish stocks and helps bacteria break down the organic sludge collecting on the pond bottom. The 2 hp plume stands about 11 feet high and spreads 26 feet; the 3 hp keeps the same height and widens to 32 feet.

Both motors are stainless-steel oil-free submersible units assembled in Holland, Michigan. There is no oil to change, no maintenance interval to track and no control box to install on shore. The units are approved for fresh and salt water and are intended to run continuously, 24 hours a day. Winter needs no special procedure - switch the power off, leave the aerator in the pond and restore power once the ice is gone.

A 100-foot 10-gauge submersible cord is standard, with 150, 200 and 250-foot lengths available for ponds set further from the service panel. Note that these motors are 230 V only. Optional LED light sets - color-changing or "Night Glo", in two-light or four-light configurations - can be ordered with the aerator or added later.
