The DITON D1 Max is an all-wheel-drive fat tire electric bike. Rather than a single hub motor, it carries one MXUS 48V 750W motor in each wheel for 1500W of combined output, managed by a dedicated dual-motor 30A controller. Driving both wheels changes how the bike behaves on poor surfaces: when the rear tire breaks traction climbing a loose slope or pulling out of soft sand, the front motor keeps hauling, so the bike claws forward instead of spinning out.

Energy comes from a 48V 25Ah lithium pack built from DMEGC 21700 cells, sized for the sustained current two motors demand. DITON quotes a top speed of 50 km/h (32 mph) and a range of roughly 40 km, which will vary considerably with how hard the dual-motor system is worked. A keyless NFC smart display handles unlocking and reports ride data from a clean, motorcycle-style cockpit.

The rolling chassis is built heavy. A 20-inch high-carbon steel soft-tail frame carries a three-layer protective coating, suspended by an all-aluminum hydraulic double-shoulder fork, and rides on 20 x 4.0-inch Chaoyang motorcycle-grade snow tires laced to double-layer snow bike rims. SIMAERS hydraulic disc brakes handle stopping at both ends. An extended moped-style bench seat allows a passenger, and the frame is rated to 150 kg (330 lbs).

The pedal drivetrain uses a Shimano 7-speed derailleur with an aluminum alloy CNC 52T chainring and a NECO headset, so the bike can be pedalled conventionally as well as ridden under power. Electrical equipment is comprehensive for the category: an LED aluminum alloy headlight system, horn, daytime running lights, brake lights and front and rear turn signals.

Why Two Motors

  • Front and rear drive maintains traction when one wheel loses grip
  • Noticeably stronger acceleration than a comparable single-motor build
  • Better hill-climbing under load or with a passenger aboard
  • Suited to sand, snow and loose gravel where a single driven wheel digs in
  • Dedicated 30A dual-motor controller manages output to both wheels

What is the practical advantage of a dual motor over a single motor?
Driving both wheels maintains forward drive when one tire loses grip, which matters most on sand, snow, loose gravel and steep climbs. it also gives stronger acceleration and better hill-climbing than a comparable single-motor build.
What is the combined power output?
Two mxus 48v 750w hub motors, one in each wheel, for 1500w combined, run through a dedicated 30a dual-motor controller.
How far will it go on a charge?
Diton lists approximately 40 km. dual-motor bikes draw more current than single-motor machines, so range varies widely with throttle use, terrain, rider weight and temperature.
What does the nfc display do?
It provides keyless unlocking by nfc tag and serves as the digital instrument cluster, reporting ride data from a motorcycle-style cockpit.
Can it carry a passenger?
Yes. the extended moped-style bench seat is rated for two riders, within the frame's 150 kg (330 lb) load capacity.
Does it still pedal like a bicycle?
It has a full pedal drivetrain, a shimano 7-speed derailleur with an aluminum cnc 52t chainring, so it can be pedalled as well as ridden under motor power.
