The Eunorau SPECTER-S 4.0, also badged as the Hunter X9, is a full-suspension fat-tire electric bike built around a BAFANG G510 mid-drive unit rated at 48V and 1000W. Because the drive sits at the cranks rather than inside a wheel hub, its output passes through the bike's own gearing, which lets the rider pick a gear to suit the grade instead of being stuck with one fixed drive ratio. Mounting the motor near the center of the frame also keeps the heaviest electrical component low and between the wheels rather than hung off one end of the bike.

Both ends of the chassis are sprung. An EXPLORER fork handles 140mm of front travel and an AO-38RC shock adds 50mm at the rear, so the wheels can track over broken pavement, gravel, and rooted trail instead of passing every impact straight into the rider. Kenda K-1151 tires in a 26 x 4.0-inch size sit on single-wall 6061 aluminum rims for a wide contact patch on loose ground, and braking comes from HD-E620 four-piston hydraulic calipers with 180mm rotors at the front and rear. Gearing is a SRAM NX 1 x 11 setup pairing a 40T chainring with an 11-42T PG-1130 cassette, and a shift sensor momentarily drops motor output while the chain moves between cogs.

Energy comes from a 48V 17.5Ah downtube pack built on LG cells with a 30A BMS. It locks to the frame for riding and lifts out for charging or storage indoors. Eunorau quotes an estimated range of up to 40 miles on the included battery, or a combined figure of up to 52 miles when an optional second pack is added. Rider inputs run through a BAFANG DP C018.CB display and a thumb throttle, with the display permitting up to a manufacturer-defined 28 mph. The frame comes in 16-inch and 18-inch sizes, paired with a 700mm handlebar, 90mm stem, and 170mm cranks; payload is rated at 300 lb and the bike itself weighs 83.7 lb. An aluminum rear rack, full aluminum fenders, an adjustable kickstand, front and rear lights with reflectors, a Eunorau Comfort C7 saddle, and reflectorized platform pedals are all fitted as standard.

Eunorau lists the SPECTER-S 4.0 as leaving the factory in a default Class 2 setting, with the handlebar display allowing assistance up to a manufacturer-defined 28 mph. Riders should understand that the motor's 1000W rating sits above the 750W ceiling the US federal definition of a low-speed electric bicycle uses, and how a machine like this gets classified is decided state by state rather than nationally. Some states treat it as an electric bicycle, others place it in a moped or motor-vehicle category, and many limit where it may be ridden. We make no claim that this bike is street legal and we assign it no class rating beyond what Eunorau publishes. Confirm your own state and municipal rules, along with the posted rules of any road, bike path, or trail network you plan to use, before you ride.

What is the advantage of a mid-drive motor?
The bafang g510 drives the cranks instead of a wheel, so its power runs through the sram nx 1 x 11 drivetrain. that lets you select a gear for the terrain in front of you rather than relying on a single fixed ratio, and it keeps the motor's weight near the center of the frame instead of out at a hub.
How much suspension travel does the bike have?
The explorer front fork provides 140mm of travel and the ao-38rc rear shock provides 50mm.
Is the main battery removable?
Yes. the 48v 17.5ah downtube pack locks to the frame while riding and lifts out, so you can charge or store it away from the bike.
Is the 48v 5ah secondary battery included?
No. eunorau lists the secondary battery as an optional accessory sold separately. running it alongside the main pack is what produces the combined estimated range figure of up to 52 miles, versus up to 40 miles on the included battery alone.
What frame sizes are available?
Eunorau's geometry information lists 16-inch and 18-inch frames, which match the two size options offered for the bike.
Is this bike street legal where i live?
We cannot answer that for you. the 1000w motor exceeds the 750w ceiling in the us federal definition of a low-speed electric bicycle, and each state decides how to classify and where to permit a bike at this power level. eunorau lists a default class 2 setting and a display limit of up to 28 mph, but that is the manufacturer's configuration, not a legal determination. check your state and local rules, and the rules of the specific roads, paths, or trails you want to ride, before you ride.
