The Heybike Mars 3.0 is the full-suspension member of the folding fat-tire family, pairing a 750W rear hub motor with a coil fork up front and a Horst-link linkage at the rear. That second shock is what separates it from the rest of the Mars line: instead of relying on tire volume alone to take the sting out of broken pavement, the rear triangle moves independently of the frame, so washboard gravel, curb drops and rutted trail all arrive at the saddle softened rather than sharp. The motor sustains 750W, peaks at 1400W and produces 95 N·m of torque, which is the highest figure of any hub-driven bike in the range.

Power is metered by a torque sensor rather than a cadence sensor. The controller reads how hard the rider is actually pushing on the pedals and scales assistance to match, so the Mars 3.0 feels like an amplified version of the rider's own effort instead of an on-off switch that fires whenever the cranks turn. A 624Wh removable lithium-ion battery supports up to 65 miles between charges and refills in roughly five to seven hours on the supplied 54.6V charger. A Shimano Altus 8-speed drivetrain handles mechanical gearing, and a half-twist throttle is fitted for riders who want motor-only assistance.

Everything is built on a 6061 aluminium alloy frame that folds in about ten seconds to 38.2 x 19.7 x 33.1 inches, small enough for a car boot, an RV bay or a hallway. Despite the hinge, the combined rider-and-cargo limit is 440 lbs, with the rear rack alone rated to 100 lbs. Fenders, that rack, a horn-equipped headlight and a taillight with brake and turn signals are all standard, and the sunlight-readable TFT display doubles as the control panel.

Security and certification are handled in software and hardware alike. The bike starts via an NFC tap card, a PIN entered on the display, or the Heybike app, with auto-lock protection when the rider walks away. The complete electrical system is certified to UL 2849 and the battery pack to UL 2271, and the battery, motor, display and controller all carry an IP65 water-resistance rating for riding through rain, dust and road spray.

Is the mars 3.0 ul certified?
Yes. the mars 3.0 electrical system is certified to ul 2849 and the battery pack meets ul 2271, covering safe charging and safe operation of the pack and electronics.
How much weight can the mars 3.0 carry?
The bike is rated for 440 lbs in total, counting the rider and any cargo together. the rear rack on its own is rated to carry up to 100 lbs.
Can i ride the mars 3.0 in the rain?
The battery, motor, display and controller are ip65 rated, so light rain, dust and road spray are not a problem. heavy downpours and submerging any part of the bike should still be avoided.
What does the torque sensor do differently from a cadence sensor?
A torque sensor measures how hard you push on the pedals and raises or lowers motor output to match, so the assistance feels like your own effort being multiplied. a cadence sensor only detects that the cranks are turning, which tends to produce more abrupt, less proportional power.
What makes this a full-suspension bike?
It has both a suspension fork at the front and a sprung rear end using a horst-link design. a hardtail only has the front fork, so a full-suspension frame gives noticeably more comfort, traction and control over rough or uneven ground.
Does the mars 3.0 include fenders and a rear rack?
Yes. front and rear fenders and a rear rack are fitted as standard, so the bike is ready for errands and commuting without extra parts.
