The Himiway D5 2.0 ST is the step-through build of the D5 2.0 full-suspension range. Removing the top tube drops the standover height to the point where you step through the frame rather than swinging a leg over it, which matters more than it sounds: it is the difference between confidently handling a 92 lb bike at a kerb and avoiding the ride altogether. It suits older riders, riders with hip or knee limitations, RV travellers and anyone who mounts and dismounts often.

Underneath the accessible frame is the full D5 2.0 chassis. A RST hydraulic fork provides 100mm of travel with a lockout and rebound adjustment, and the rear wheel has 130mm of travel, so cracked asphalt, gravel shoulders, root-crossed paths and washboard get absorbed before they reach you. Maxxis Minion FBF and FBR fat tires in 26 x 4.0, tubeless ready, give the stability that wide rubber provides at low speed and on loose surfaces, and a memory-foam ergonomic saddle with a stem adjustable through 60 degrees lets you dial in an upright position that keeps weight off your wrists and lower back.

The 48V 750W geared hub motor makes 90Nm, which is enough to restart on a hill without wrestling the bike. Himiway's sensor switches between torque mode, where power tracks your pedal pressure, and cadence mode, where it holds a chosen level while you spin, and there is an automatic assist mode plus five manual PAS steps. A thumb throttle is fitted. The bike ships capped at 20 mph and can be configured from 4 to 28 mph across Class 1, 2 and 3. Himiway publishes roughly 40 miles on throttle and up to 70 miles on assist from the 15Ah battery, with a 15Ah + 20Ah dual-battery option for riders who want more.

Stopping is handled by Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with a 203mm front and 180mm rear rotor and power-cutoff levers. The bike carries 400 lb of rider and cargo, fits riders from 5'1" to 6'5", and comes with full-coverage fenders, a MIK HD-compatible rear rack and integrated lighting including a brake indicator and turn signals.

How is the st different from the standard d5 2.0?
Mechanically they are the same bike - same motor, battery, suspension, brakes and tires. the st uses a step-through frame so you walk through rather than step over, which makes mounting and stopping in traffic much easier.
What range does it have?
Himiway publishes about 40 miles on throttle alone and up to 70 miles on pedal assist from the 15ah battery. adding the optional 20ah second pack takes the system to 35ah for significantly longer rides.
What is the top speed and what class is it?
It ships limited to 20 mph and can be set from 4 to 28 mph in the display, covering class 1, 2 and 3 operation, with a thumb throttle fitted. choose the setting that matches your local rules.
Will it fit me?
Himiway lists a rider range of 5'1" to 6'5". the 60-degree adjustable stem and the seat post let you set both bar height and saddle height, so the fit window is wide. rider plus cargo should stay under 400 lb.
Is a step-through frame less stiff?
You will feel slightly more flex than a high-step frame under hard effort, which is why himiway specifies 130mm of rear travel and a 400 lb capacity here. for commuting, touring and recreational riding it is not something most riders notice.
How much assembly is needed?
The bike arrives mostly built. expect to fit the front wheel, handlebar, pedals and seat post, install the fender kit and rack, and check brakes and bolt torque with the included 16-in-1 tool before the first ride.
