The Intermatic 115 Volt Commercial Timer is a mechanical time switch from the T100 Series, set up for 115-volt equipment and specified for commercial and heavy-duty residential service. It gives a fountain, aerator or de-icer a fixed daily schedule instead of leaving it running continuously or depending on someone to switch it by hand.

The switch carries loads of up to 40 amps per pole, which puts larger pumps and motors comfortably within its range, and it will hold as many as 12 ON/OFF operations per day. A manual override switch sits on the unit for times when equipment needs to be run or stopped immediately, outside the programmed cycle.

Everything in the timing mechanism is mechanical rather than electronic, which is what makes this series a long-service choice in continuous-duty installations. Running equipment on a schedule also keeps power consumption and total motor hours down over a season.
