The Jackery Battery Pack 2000 Plus v2 is an expansion battery, not a power station. It has no inverter and no AC outlets of its own; it exists to add 2,048Wh of storage to a host unit that already has the electronics. Think of it as a fuel tank rather than an engine. You connect it to a compatible HomePower station with the supplied expansion cable, and from that point the host manages charging, output and load distribution across the whole stack as a single system.

Compatibility is specific. The pack is designed for the HomePower 2000 Plus v2 and the HomePower 1000 Plus v2, and each of those hosts accepts up to five packs. Paired with a HomePower 2000 Plus v2, five packs bring the system to a published total of 12kWh, which is the configuration Jackery rates for multi-day essential-load coverage. The pack is built for the HomePower line only and will not work with Explorer series power stations, so check your host model before ordering.

Inside is the same LiFePO4 chemistry used in the host units, rated for 6,000 charge cycles while retaining more than 70% of original capacity. A built-in battery management system applies twelve layers of protection covering voltage, current and temperature conditions, and the pack monitors itself independently rather than relying entirely on the host. A smart LCD on the housing shows the current charge percentage and displays fault codes directly, which saves guesswork when one pack in a stack behaves differently from the others.

Operation is intentionally hands-off. The pack takes no separate charger and no wall connection of its own; it charges through the host station from either an AC outlet or solar panels, drawing from whatever source the host is using. When it sits idle with nothing drawing from it, the pack shuts itself off after two hours to limit standby drain, then wakes when the host calls for it again. That makes it practical as standby capacity you leave connected and charged between outages rather than something you set up each time.

What's in the Box

  • 1 x Battery Pack 2000 Plus v2
  • 1 x expansion cable
  • 1 x user manual
  • No separate charger is required or included; the pack charges through the host power station

Can i use this battery pack on its own?
No. it is an expansion battery with no inverter and no ac outlets, so it cannot deliver power by itself. it has to be connected to a compatible homepower station, which handles the inverter, the outlets and the load management for the whole stack.
Which power stations does it work with?
It is built for the homepower 2000 plus v2 and the homepower 1000 plus v2. it is not compatible with explorer series power stations such as the explorer 2000 plus, since it is designed specifically for the homepower line.
How many packs can i connect, and how much capacity do i end up with?
Each host accepts up to five packs. on a homepower 2000 plus v2, five packs bring the system to a published total of 12kwh.
Do i need to buy a separate charger for it?
No. the pack has no charging port of its own and takes no separate charger. it charges through the host power station, using whichever source the host is connected to, whether that is a wall outlet or solar panels.
Is the connecting cable included?
Yes. an expansion cable is supplied in the box along with the pack and the user manual, so a standard single-pack connection needs nothing extra.
What happens when the pack is not being used?
It shuts itself off after two hours of inactivity to limit standby drain, and comes back online when the host unit draws from it again. the onboard lcd shows the current charge percentage whenever you want to check its state.
