The Jackery HomePower 1000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition is a 1,024Wh home backup and portable power station, sold in co-branded form under Jackery's partnership with the American Red Cross. Electrically it is the same machine as the standard HomePower 1000 Plus v2: 1,800W of continuous AC output with a 3,600W peak, delivered as a clean pure sine wave, drawn from a LiFePO4 battery rated for 6,000 charge cycles and a projected service life of up to 16 years at one cycle per day. Jackery states that 10% of profits from this series are used to donate portable power stations to rescue organizations.

Where the unit earns its place is during an outage. Switchover to battery happens in under 10 milliseconds, quick enough that a desktop computer, a modem or a medical-adjacent device such as a CPAP will not register the grid dropping away. A 3kV surge protection stage sits ahead of the output, and Storm Alert Mode, which needs the unit on AC power with an internet connection, watches incoming weather and brings the battery up before the storm arrives. Silent Mode keeps it under 30dB, so it can live in a hallway or beside a desk rather than being banished to the garage.

Recharging is fast for this capacity class. On 1,600W wall input the battery reaches full in roughly 50 minutes. Up to 400W of solar brings it back in about 3.3 hours, and a 400W DC-to-DC alternator connection charges it from a vehicle in about 2.7 hours, which suits anyone shuttling the unit between a house, a work site and a trailhead.

Capacity is not locked in at purchase. The unit accepts up to five Battery Pack 2000 Plus v2 expansion batteries, taking total storage to 11kWh. Only the Battery Pack 2000 Plus v2 is supported for this model. The Jackery app handles remote monitoring, scheduled charging and load prioritization, so the station trims non-essential draw before it touches the circuits you actually care about.
